Darth Kryo pointed this out to me.... Are you sure you're starting a game through the metaverse button on the main menu? There was a bug in 1.2b1 that caused a metaverse submission prompt at the end of non-meta games (started via the 'new game' button) as well, and if you tried submitting it, it gave that error.

I am attempting to attach a jpg to my character. The jpg is 107x78 which is in the 128x128 limit. I get a popup that says, "posting data", but nothing ever happens and I am forced to click the close button on the popup a number of times then to get out of it. So am I brain dead or just missing something? Thanks for any assistance.
I know I packed my brain before I left. Thanks
I receive an error when attempting to post a game to the metaverse. (16) The results of this game cold not be posted to the metaverse. Would you like to try posting your results again? I have seen some messages about a cheat flag being set, but it wouldn't make any sense to ask if I want to post again if it is not going to take it. I have tried with my firewall turned off also. Any ideas? thanks
One other possibility would be that the empire score be calculated by taking the score we use now and dividing it by the number of games played giving you the empire average. This way it will not matter if you got one person or 100 people in your empire, only on the average rating of every ones submissions in your empire.
It appears the Fellowship's ship has sprung a leak. They have fallen behind by 7000 points. I must say, it is nice to go in to meta and not have to search through all the listings to find yourself when your on the front page. Well, I guess I got my 15 minutes of fame till the next submission bumps me out and I lose my new ribbon. ;)
Now that I got the scoring calculations straight in my head, I can see where one should save your games just before finishing, make note of the score when complete, but do not submit the games at that time. Then once every 30 days, sit down with the scores from the games you played in that period and figure out which combination of scores will give you the highest meta points. Then only submit those paticular games. Example: If you play 3 games in a 30 day period with the score
Has any one else run in to the problem where you submit a game, it puts the game and score in your individual listing, but does not increase your meta score? Only one of my last 3 game submissions actually got added.
Congrats on the 100,000 PontiusBruinPilot and EBZeroMatrix. For what it is worth, it looks like I squeezed GROSS back in to first place by 1000 points, but it probably won't last long. May your edge stay sharp and your ship never sink, SF
Many hoo-rahs for this fine gleaming steal. A tribute such as this would make tears come from the heart, but since I ain’t got a heart, enough of this whale blubber and lets start having some real fun making those space lubbers walk the plank.
