Captain Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

Here's your ration of skin you do gooder wimp Drengin slime. Now get back to work

EBZeroMatrix you have been made a senator.

I repeat. Cringe in fear, we come for you.

Stealth,

I checked the scores for your ten games and they "add up" properly. Both your Metaverse score and your player score are correct. Because they are added in blocks and then divided by the square root of the number of games played, each additional game in a month-long block is worth less points. In reality, the more games you play, the smaller percentage of their points are added to your total score.

This is why there tends to be two kinds of players. Players like EBZ play a tremendous number of games; each game counts for little, but you can see that they add up. Players like PBP play few games and space them out; resulting in larger returns, but not having enough frequency to outdistance players like EBZ. And then there's Ray... I think he's losing his marbles. :p LOL ;)

Now that I got the scoring calculations straight in my head, I can see where one should save your games just before finishing, make note of the score when complete, but do not submit the games at that time. Then once every 30 days, sit down with the scores from the games you played in that period and figure out which combination of scores will give you the highest meta points. Then only submit those paticular games.

Example:

If you play 3 games in a 30 day period with the scores of 13000, 1500, and 3500. Your meta points would be 10392 for that 30 day block. You would have been better off just submiting the 13000 score game for that block because your meta points would be 13000, or 2608 extra points.

So, unless you always score about the same amount of points in every game during the 30 day block, you high scores can be severly penalized for playing multiple games.

Hey, we'll take what we get however we get it. Isn't that part of what being a feared space pirate is all about? :)

One thing though stealth, the blocks are determined by your last date of submission. So eventially, the three games may not be in the same block. Unless they were submitted all together.

The results of that laborious number crunching? The proof that we are big, we are bad, and we mean business! Thanks for the update, boss.

The Book of GROSS, page 80. So it came to be that one of the Posse had grown great in the powers of darkness. The fearsome beast of the trees, Killa Koala, had shown the masses what the evils of the drop bear maneuver could do. No alien was safe, no rival empire sound. GROSS had once again showed what the definition of an evil empire was.

How long do I have to keep submitting evil games before I can have one of those nasty dark faces? I've successfully gone from chaotic good (in a former life as an ANZAC) to thoroughly chaotic eeeevil - but I wanna black face!!!
