Did they improve the autopilot at all? (I'm guessing no.)
If I recall, a lot of the autopilot stuff was hardcoded and difficult to change. They just added a whole bunch of new content.

Heard about this, can't wait to play it. I unfortunately lost all my progress when my computer crashed, but this will give an reason to put X3 back on.
Thanks Tolmekian! Update: Unfortunately I've been busy with school lately, and when I have free time, I keep hitting this really nasty writers block. I have the chapters ahead of what I'm writing planned out, it's just this chapter I'm working on needs to be done first.
Hmmm. I should post more to get more replies. How do you like the story so far?
After a long time, here's a new update. The plot has been fairly slow so it's been tough to write. Chapter 6 Yet another factor enters this complex game , thought Altos as he walked towards the prepared shuttle. Everything will change in value, and what we thought was worthless will become priceless. And many more will reveal themselves in due time, depending on the course of events. Still pondering the new twist the war had taken, Altos hastily walked
Note: You can change the limits via modding anytime. You can have thousands of units in a single battle.
THAT would be cool.
Ugh I really hope my You're Banned! thread doesn't get unseated for most replies ever for a Stardock Network forum thread...
I remember seeing a screenshot with a dragon surrounded by hundreds of soldiers during the games development. This was likely from the RTS phase of the early game. Problem is, Stardock pitched that screen as a major one, leading a lot of people to get confused. Seems most battles in Elemental have a max of 10 guys now.
I was watching some Elemental videos on Youtube and watche several ones about battles. I remember reading one of the Dev Journals saying that Elemental would have real time battles in the vein of Total War. Yet when I watch these videos, it's a turn based battle system. Whatever happened to the RTS elements. If I wanted to play a fantasy battle board game, I would have dug out my Heroscape set. What happened?
X3: Terran Conflict has a decent manual. It has paperback style binding instead of staples because its pretty big (Still full of fluff though. It doesn't cut to the important stuff right away like it should.). Not as big as what I'm guessing what some of these older manuals are, but still impressive compared to the 10 page manuals we seem to get these days.
I guess thats a matter of taste?
True, but I am sure there are MANY people who would agree with me on this one.
I know the Stardock team tried to create a unique art style, but it fell flat on its face and looks really bland and cartoony (not attacking the game here, I'm just commenting on the art). I'm no modder, but what if someone could create a graphical overhaul mod that changes and replaces textures that look better, grittier, and more realistic? It would do wonders for the game and make it more pleasing to the eye.
The link is here . To be honest, I'm not suprised. Stardock put a lot of effort in this game, but things just didn't work out. Also: Stardock, I think you need to get better beta testers in the future. I think quite a few signed up just so they could play the game early, ignoring what a tester is suppo
Hmmmm. Never seen a Total War AI with that degree of tactical skill. For all we know it may well be a 2 person match with the devs in the video saying it's an AI.
I usually install the new ones over the old, but it doesn't matter. I used System Restore to go back to an older point, and I haven't had any problems yet.
I used system restore to roll back the graphics drivers, but now Internet Explorer doesn't load the internet (now using Firefox for the web). Grrrrrrr.... Why did I have to update that stupid display driver?!
When I boot my computer from Sleep mode, the desktop is unresponsive (nothing reacts when I click, icons don't light up when I pass the cursor over it, right clicking doesn't do anything). This only started happening today. I downloaded new display drivers for my computer yesterday, but that's all I can think of. Can anyone help me with this?
I've been hearing some bad things about this game. Some websites are saying not to buy this game, even though they haven't put reviews out.
God, I really hope Elemental doesn't follow the path of Demigod... Wasn't Elemental supposed to be released in Feb. 2011?
Title says it all.
Guys, I'm very sorry for the long delays. I've either forgotten about or have hit a writer's block when I remember. I'll try to have a chapter out soon.
Already got Ab Block plus. Works like a charm.
What is the best software that can block pop ups, as well as ads that appear on the sides of webpages? They add a lot of load time to some pages. Plus some ads have stuff I really don't want to look at.
I really do not want to play the opening levels (the sewers/canals and Ravenholm). The sewers are boring and confusing, and Ravenholm is just too damn scary . I like sci fi, not horror. If anyone can give me links to where i can download post-Ravenholm save games, it would be much appreciated.
Apolgies for the delay, I've been on vacation. I'll be able to write more when I return.
