Okay, it's getting to the late game. I'm jammed into five planets, one captured from another faction. This captured planet is surrounded by two enemy planets from two different factions, both with strong fleets. To make things worse, both of these factions are allied, and their fleets are combined at one of the planets, making for a strong force. (both are Advent). You know the situation. If I send out my fleet to attack, I'll make myself vulnerable. Can anyone help me get out of this

Man, don't dig up these super old threads! I'd recommed getting a laptop cooler. It's a plastic (usually) platform with fans built in to cool the laptop. Laptops are more compact, so heat is a bigger issue.

I recently had my computer's OS restored, and now when I try to put my computer into Sleep (stand by) mode, it goes into sleep mode briefly (the light blinks as usual), and then the system turns itself back on again. This is extremely irritating. Can anyone help me?

I seems stupid that the pirates would have such advanced technology in an early phase of the game. What ever happened to scaling? If a civilization has laser technology, then the pirates should have laser technology, not phasor technology!

The pirate event is horrible, as are many mega events. The mega events are a good idea in theory, but they were poorly implemented and highly exaggerated, making most of them game ending. Scaling would have a been a really good idea, Stardock...

With more and more games coming out that use Steam exclusively, you have to wonder if Valve is pulling some strings here. They can easily convince publishers to require Steam by showing how popular Steam is (popular because people don't know much about the other digital services). I think Valve also may be viewing Impulse as a serious threat, and for good reason: Impulse is a lot better than Steam.
