Unfortunately I passed over a smaller chapter (number 7), so that explains any confusion. I edited the original post. Go back and read it, if you haven't. Nothing major happens, just some filler.

At long last, here is the next chapter. Another will follow tomorrow (needs some editing) Chapter 7 Jordan woke shortly after dawn, leaving Aelytha to sleep more. He powered through his exercise routine, showered and dressed, then went into Owen’s room, shaking him awake. “What do you want, man?” grumbled Owen, turning over. “Got a call from Hryo last night at one in the morning. They’ve called off the search. Get yo

Here's a little snippet of what I've been writing. “Give the Navy’s version and I will give my own.” “Very well. After the Earth shield was raised, the ships TAS Independence and TAS Royal Vengeance failed to arrive at the rally point for transferring into the formerly occupied pocket universe. Instead, they charted a course into deep space, where they vanished from our scanners. A small group of other ships, which are now back in

I've known about mega publishers pressuring reviewers for a long time. Gamesradar had an article a while back that showed a whole pile of goodies and pressure letters that EA alone had sent them. That's why I only look at the major gaming sites for news and previews not reviews. As for the site that is in bed with publishers the most, I'd have to say Gamespot. That site does these "launch centers" for the major titles, which basically promotes them over the more minor (and often better) title
All we need is one carrier group and support from the British and French, then Qaddafi is screwed.
The French are sending their carrier, as are the British. Benghazi has been cleared of Qaddafi loyalists. Misurata is still holding out. The tenacity of the opposition forces in that city is unbelievable.

I agree. Qaddafi still has plenty of backers, as judged from the rallies they throw (the propaganda still inflates those numbers). If the rebels win, they could easily become insurgents along with the remnants of Qaddafi's forces. If we invade, it will hand Al Qaeda another source of "The infidels are coming to kill Muslims" bullshit. If a ground forces are really needed, let France do it. The Libyans already view France as a hero for pushing the no fly zone while Obama twiddled his thumds.</
Obama is just talking because he is Obama, and therefore scared of using military force or anything that makes the U.S. look good. Bush may have been a gunslinging cowboy, but at least he wouldn't have hesitated to drop the hammer on Ghadiffi's forces.
Exactly.

I've checked more into the situation in Libya. Why havent the air strikes started? And why has the US not committed to the no fly zone yet? All Obama is doing is talking.
75% of his country is a void. I think it is too late. For now, Qaddafi has won. There may be another opportunity in the future, but the UN action is again too little too late.
They're hearing shells and gunfire in Benghazi. Misurata amazingly hasn't fallen yet. There have been videos showing Qaddafi's tanks randomly shooting buildings. Explosions were heard in the capital Tripoli. Apparently the opposition is using bombs now. This is a dark moment in the history

The UN has just passed the No Fly Zone resolution. A bit late, but still. The early days of the uprising show that Qaddafi has no chance without his planes. The rebels took like 75% of the country before he unleashed his air force.

If by some miracle the rebels can defend the two cities that are currently under siege (Misurata and Ajabiya. They seem to be doing a good job now but we'll see) and throw out Qaddafi without Western assistance, they will likely have a very bitter taste in their mouth and become anti Western, which we really do not need. Here are some updates: Britain apparently has RAF and SAS squadrons on standby in Malta, an island close to Libya. Something is telling me that the UN Resolution fail

This has been all over the news. It had so much hope that Libya's government would be overthrown and that psychotic clown of a dictator Qaddafi would finally be thrown out. Now it seems like the rebels are going to fail. They've been pleading for Western Intervention but Obama is basically fiddling while Libya burns. If Benghazi, the rebel capital falls, Qaddafi will be free to butcher every single person who opposes him. Why do we always wait until its too late?

I have to say I like RTS's that dont focus on base building. C&C is just a race to have the best base, and if you don't have a certain level within two minutes you're screwed. Supreme Commander is very fun and quite epic, but it still a (slower) rush to the experimentals and tech 3 units. Two of my favorite RTS are Sins of a Solar Empire (it does have base building, but not in a sense compared to conventional RTS games), and the Total War games, which when played against human opponents,
Did you try clearing cookies?
How do I do that, my good man? EDIT: Fixed. Either I clearing the cookies using CCleaner worked, or simply restarting Steam did. Still annoyed at the nanny state style control that Steam has. Kids are smart enough to fake their ages, you know. [e digicons]:|[/e]

Been looking for some good stuff, but I goofed when you have to enter your age to view M games (why do have to enter your age every single fucking time you want to view an M game), accidentally entering my birth year as 2010. Apparently Steam won't remember me entering my age countless times, but it will remember one mistake, and now I'm barred from viewing games in the Steam Store that I should rightfully be allowed to. This is fucking gay... Now I can't get the games I want! [e di

Attention everyone. I really have not been working on this story, and haven't been having much of an impulse to write. Therefore, this story will be put on hold (not abandoned) until further notice. I just wanted to put this notice up and let my readers know rather than just disappearing like many other AAR writers.
