If I recall, that was planned for Dark Avatar, like you said because of complexities. The game would have to recognize events and put it into some sort of log, then it would have to put narration into it. The problem is, it would get repetitive quickly. I really don't care about it, though a game log would be nice when writing our AARs. And as for our own stories, yes! The AAR/fan fiction section started to die around TA's release, but I see it popping up soon.

You can get if for $10 if you have TC registered with Steam. There might a retail version of Albion Prelude bundled with TC, but I'm not sure. Steam is really not bad. I stayed away from it for the reasons others do for a while, now I realize its no big deal.

I saw the announcement. Was caught completely off guard. Looks great!
Wow, that came out of no where. Really is a Christmas surprise....But I assume it only works on Steam, wonder if they will honor the discount here if you already own Terran Conflict, saw that over on their forums....
You have to have TC registered with Steam, which you can do by entering the serial number if you have the DVD version.

Read this IGN article. http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1213607p1.html You have to hand it to CD Project. Even though 5 copies were pirated to one legitimate purchase, they still will not use intrusive DRM, unlike some publishers *cough* Ubisoft *cough*. This is really a Catch 22 for developers and publishers. If they use strict DRM, people will get angry, not buy the game, and pirate it. On the other, if they use relax

I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Sims yet. Will Wright was a genius with this concept. It's so stupidly simple, yet so addictive. Almost all of the Expansion were worth getting. Maxis worked this charm into the games that only they could do. On the other hand, The Sims 3 series right now is not great. EA shelved Maxis at the end of The Sims 2, created it's own developer team (not nearly as much talent and creativity as Maxis), and is now milking the series. The base

Well, this was certainly a necrothread. I agree it is quite fun, but since TM Nations was free, there are a lot of terrible maps out there (some players just stack piles of track pieces for "scenery", among other things). I haven't gotten TM2 yet (it only has one new environment [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] )

The reason why I'm posting this here is because most tech support websites tend to attract useless comments like "oh I have this problem too!". All right, whenever I'm on the internet, my computer has had an increasing tendency to give a BSOD. Its always the same error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, or something close to that (I don't really want to have to double check if you get my meaning). This once was a rare occurance, but it's been happening a bit more frequently.

These are some pretty good suggestions. Now, what about fantasy? In particular I like stuff epic in scale, as well as dragon related books (writing one myself so I want to see how others do it. And, yes I've read the Inheritance cycle.)

Well, it's been too long since I've had a good book in my hands, so I need some recommendations. What I'm looking for in particular is Space Opera and Space warfare sci-fi, as well as fantasy where war a major part of the story. As you can tell I like war and action in the books I read. [e digicons]:P[/e] Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

That's a term that, if it's even still used in the unified Earth of the 2500s, is unlikely to be applied to a character who quite probably has never even been to earth. It's especially glaring since you referenced the fall of America earlier in the story.
Thanks for pointing that out. In the edited version on my system, it was changed to

How many here have played Trackmania? I'd be suprised to see how many here play, since they've got around 9,000,000 registered players (dont know how many actually consistently play though )The developer Nadeo, is about to release a new game in the series, simply called Trackmania 2. Personally, I'm pretty excited to see what 2 has to offer.
