Try double clicking the 'frame' area of the window. Task Manager has the ability to switch between two viewing modes. Sounds like you got yours stuck in the second mode.

I spent Christmas and New Year's last year in the states. Never again! The constant paranoia stressed me out. The family I was staying with kept the TV and radio on constantly 'just in case'. Even on the bus crossing the border we were given regular updates on the terror alert level. Along with countless Americans, I was made to feel totally unsafe, and for no good reason. Offer your admin skills. Show them how to secure things properly. To my recollection, there is a user right for the command prompt that can be disabled in xp through group policy.
The real me still clocks in the top two results. I'm proud of that. Of course, the bio from my old site is horribly out of date.
