The desktop search doesn't seem to be fully functional yet. Neat idea, for people who search for things. It would seem the main goal here is to abstract the file system entirely. Make searching fast enough that it's easier to type the filename and hit enter than it is to click through the start menu or explorer windows. That is, if searching turns up any results. I let it index my drive and it still found nothing. <img src="http://im

That takes me back to the days of Bob. It's funny how many times I've told myself it would be an awesome idea.. then upon a little bit of research I learned that Microsoft actually tried it once - and failed miserably.
a hundred thousand boxxi fans can't be wrong
CD sales have nothing to do with this. Artists make most of their money performing live, so you can't exactly say file sharing hurts them. If anything, it's good for them and I'll explain why in a moment. Labels on the other hand, make most their money through lawyers and crooked deals to nab ninety nine percent of an artist's revenue. Who's the thief here? File sharing has seen the rise of indie bands into the world market. They can distribut
which is definitely worth it. Ah luvs mah docks. Ah luvs em good.
I'd say you've got a good chance at running it. There's quite a few things you can enable or disable until it's working for you.
It's nice to see Microsoft making some sort of an effort in regards to the spyware debacle, considering it's their operating system all this crud is takign advantage of. They chose an effective existing product - Giant - and are going to offer it to their customers. This might be the same approach their new antivirus initiative ends up taking, too. However power users feel about Giant, or Microsoft, this is still a good thing. More regular use
Looks like my fifteen dolar gravis gamepads are gonna get some mean competition I'm gonna miss those lil digital pads. I'm gonna miss em good. Great stuff XX, lots of fun for the modmonkey in all of us.
This is sad and cute at the same time I'm not an artist or a skinner myself, though I am a writer and musician. If I saw something created that was a derivative of my work, and done in a way that people would know where the original content came from, I'd be flattered. If I personally felt that it was poorly done and detracted from the original, I'd still be flattered. If I felt that it surpassed the original, I would also be flattered. <B
Lurk, lurk, lurk! Too true. Otherwise you'll fall prey to people who eat newbies for breakfast. I've seen some normally great people who, for the sake of fun, love to mess with the sensitive new posters who aren't familiar with their sense of humour. At first glance the posts seem brash and elicit crazy
Sorry Steve, I don't see that many 'pro pot lovers' posting their educated views One guy did say "Pot Rulezzzzzz" on the first page of the thread, though. Might extrapolate from that. This is getting silly, but I'm getting a laugh out of it. Great to hear so many mature and well thought out posts though. And yeah, it's way off topic. I was kinda taken aback to
I'm seeing a lot of people here who've quit after simply growing out of it. Kinda nice to hear, kudos to all of you. Funny how all that experience doesn't seem to sway the young'uns though. Oh well, their loss, hazing the days of youth away.
People do have the right to destroy their bodies any way they like, though they should be a little more aware of the effects these things have on them before setting out to do so. Saying pot is harmless is a perfect example. So, you drink/toke, get drunk/high, black out but you're alive the next day, and you think it's all good. Then you realize you woke up in a drunk tank or rehab because you were trying to drive home. People are, inherently,
Well, there's people who smoke now and then and you'd never know it meeting them, and then there's the complete burnouts and waste cases. People who can handle it for recreational use are fine, but the true potheads are way too prelavent, making asses of themselves and becoming a drain on society. Pot is too widely available, especially to younger people who definitely won't be able to handle it. The stuff should be controlled, if not completely remove
First bicycle seats, now this. And I'm still waiting for my cell phone tumor. If the slightest change in body heat had such an effect, you'd figure there'd be no babies conceived during the summer.
i'm with Relswick on this. The IT guys should have automated that migration and made it go a little smoother. With an app like Outlook, there's no excuse for it to be left out for the end users to set up. I feel for ya, man, and all those employees forced to do their own administration.
This is awesome. It looks so yummy, and definitely loads much faster. Way ta go WC team! And Froggy, buddy... you rule. Have my babies.
is that what happened to merry go rounds and seesaws now? I haven't had a good go-round in years. Sure they were dangerous, but we survived. Bring back the playgrounds of yesteryear! Also, Bradbuddy, heal up and get well soon. I think it's safe to say the whole wincustomize community is behind you on that
This skin makes me want beer. Well done
Star Wars serves best as parody fodder. Mmmm.. Spaceballs
mmmm... new objectbar can't wait
lol.. lol.. lol
Awesome news. The Objectbar overhaul looks great, and I totally agree with IconX becoming its own program. Maybe you guys can figure out some way to make IconX affect icons in explorer windows and stuff as well. Mmm that'd be yummy! ObjectDock Plus sounds exciting too. Looks like its going to be pulling ahead of other dock programs like a rocket. I can't wait to see it. Keep up the great work!
No self respecting power user would go without it
