1 question... do anyone know how to pass these kind of suggestion to people working on Ironclad that makes this SINS 2... Because i reallyX10 wanna see the new SINS 2 have a new one-of-a-kind unique flagship warship which can be played with and w/out flagship victory mode BUT also making it more interesting for fun sake
Since someone from Stardock (or Ironclad, I'm not sure, sorry Tatiora) replied, I
Smarti12
You can also have a flag-ship specific research tree and components :D At least I hope that using these will be possible (so the flagship needs to be defined as a different ship class)
I probably didn't think of all the implications so happy to see it proven an impractical idea. But we are at the "crazy ideas" stage of development so I thought I might as well throw that idea into the ring.
I think it's a great idea! At least as an option I would really enjoy it. I hope it can be easily created, maybe as a mod. Sins 1 had this system once upon a time, but with unlimited range and it didn't work out.
Quoting Wildstar2236, reply 1 I actually like the system they have setup in regard to Caps. It forces the player to be more careful with their CAP in the early game and so far, having to wait that long to get more Caps hasn't hindered my game at all. Of course
My point is does that kind of addition gonna be added in the new SINS 2 in their own unique way related to Starbase part. Also to add.. i got a few more to mention but for now, 1 more to mention here is flagship part which available via Flagship victory.. I really, really verily HOPING that SINS 2 got their own unique flagship which basically have almost capability of a titan in firepower, durabilit
The research screen literally has a pink space pony with a hard hat on and the words "Under Construction". How more clearly can we say it's nowhere near the final look of the menu? There is a lot more to do for this game to be complete, we've communicated that at every opportunity. We've got our heads down doing that work.
Regarding that research screen, it flew over 90% of people's heads. More
The more I play this... and yes, i know its technical one so lacking so much. But already the changes are mostly detrimental. I would have been happy with a visual upgrade and making it 64bit/multi-core so we could have seen the 10,000 ship, multi solar system running smooth. Now... graphics are nice looking, if a little too cartoonish, the changes on how worlds work, the limited space for upgrading, the piss poor rese
Honestly? A near direct port of the game, and stable engine that can support a hundred stars (or planets) for truly massive games without the late game crawl. The late game crawl is what ruined the first one. This engine so far, granted we're limited to only vs 3ai, has not stuttered once. I honestly couldn't give two sh*ts about it being an epic games exclusive, since epic lets me log into their stuff with steam (though maybe
I like mysteries...but I also like to eventually have the satisfaction of solving them. So I'm of two minds about it!
Same!
Eh. Instead of having the entire species as a faction, just make it a fraction of their army, like a scouting party, being the faction. To give a glimpse of how powerful they might actually be.
Could be interesting, to
It's a good question how they will market it eventually. I assume they'll have some partnerships with youtubers, and the game's existence will be spread by word of mouth already. If it comes to steam (who knows if and when), they can market it through Steam as well. Maybe they'll be allowed to put up a news statement to Rebellion on Steam as well. Luckily, it's not up to me.
So my only question is how would fans know about this game, i for one only play single player and have never touched a mod or watched youtube content around sins cause i honestly belive the core game is just so good i can't find a single reason as to why i would need mods or care to watch others play the game when i could just be playing it myself, do i have to sign up for emails with my only email addres that i never look at cause who a
I would like this as well. It could help smaller ships being less impact by missiles, as they can more easily evade. It also helps a lot with the turret dynamics as you point out. I really hope something like this is possible in the engine!
Thanks! Interesting to see where the map ends up after so long.
Guys [e digicons]:)[/e] the cap ships in tech demo are indeed powerful [e digicons]:)[/e] The difference between the 1st and 2nd game is that like you said in the first one CS are already strong at lvl1 while in SinsII you need to upgrade them. I love this logic because I hate swarm attacks during early games: in SinsII it seems that they wanted to prevent that and to me they succeeded. Anyway one liner answ
Brodar, can you share a screen of how the entire map looked at the end of the game? I'm interested in the positioning of the celestial bodies
Just wanted to say that this is an amazing write-up, there's some amazing stuff in here for the devs to work with. Expected nothing less from you I guess hahaha
Only if they make a 4th playable race.
I would prefer it not being a 4th race. If it's just another race, why did the Vasari empire fall to ruin and why did they have to run for over 10,000 years? It needs to be an actual threat in some way, or it would be disappointing
For your information Shottymonster, a research tree is coming and the research already has some prerequisites, although that could be expanded. The moving celestial bodies is already an option that can be turned off, so you can just use that!
I always assumed it was the Space Ponies driving the Vasari mad.. The more factions the merrier (makes the universe seem more alive)
Apparently, the minor factions are different species as well. I don't know the specifics, but I think they were in Trader space and just adapted to living with the humans.
I don't know if this is something that is possible or not. Or something you thought of doing but decided not to. I think it'd make more sense if, instead of each gravity well being a planet with some asteroids. Each gravity well was a star with planets orbiting said star. Just a random thought I've always had regarding Sin that I wanted to at least share.
I think this could be extremely interesting
Quoting Wildstar2236, reply 115 Man, the hate towards Epic, who cares. I know I don't. Already have the game and loving it. If you have to be so infantile to complain to the world, I guess that is your business. I guarantee you don't speak for the majority here. While I
You can drag these out to remove them!
The test edition will receive more frequent updates and fixes, but is likely to be less stable at the same time.
I think mockups iterating on the current UI are very welcome :D
No real problem with Epic, but I love Steam. I need as few content launchers in my life as possible. I personally will wait for a Steam launch. It sucks because I was super excited when I heard Sins2 was coming. I've bought at least 10 copies of the other 2 games. These exclusivity agreements suck for the players. I hope this doesn't reflect their development philosophy.
You do you, but I fully disagree
