I’ve been playing since the day Sins 1 came out, and I kept playing it until the day I learned about early access for Sins 2. I bought it twice, so the friend I played Sins 1 with could play with me, and we’ve both been playing since TEC-only. And I hate TEC. I think I’m most excited by the end of the trailer. Worlds of all races going dark. It has to be the Vasari’s pursuers, yeah? We need more lo

This is done in the .player files. It's a bit more difficult I guess, you need to do some 'modding'
Would you also want to change the GUI colors, or other aspects, or were you just referring to the ships?
I keep reading these "updates" hoping that it's announcing the games release because there hasn't been anything new since April (I think?). Guess we'll just have to keep waiting.
We know the update is coming in August. Known it for months now.
There will not be a single difference in-game. The game uses mod.io already, and will continue to do so. I guess there will be steam forums? But no changes in-game.
Ah, you are correct. It seems, they quietly removed that from its previous roadmaps.
On Discord they have stated that the Advent update will be in August
They are looking at it, nothing clear on it. The platform does not matter for the game itself btw. And the chances of getting it when you bought it after the Steam announcement are low.
If we already purchased it on Epic will we get a Steam code or will we have to repurchase it again?
As Yarlen said in the message right above yours, it's TBD. They seemingly intend to do it, but there might be issues, contractual obligations, financial considerations etc
Very excited for the update! Once again, the taking visual damage aspect really shows you listen to the community. I'm sure you guys also wanted it from the start, but the constant hammering by a lot of us no doubt made you want to include it even more and even faster :)
What is the update process? When I play the game as installed last year, there is no indication that it is updating.
There have been many updates; you will see that there is an update as indicated by the need to update the game. You can also see the version on Epic. For the patch notes etc, this forum is the place to be. They are just posted here :)
I've been asking why there are less Capitals and frigates per race, no mines, same sounds, explosions, same model ships from Sins 1 and huge comically large turrets, same exact races...... . and..... crickets here.......🥱
Blair said over a year or so ago, I think both on here and on the Discord, that they generally disliked the design of the ships they added in Rebellion. Both visually and gameplay
This is an oldschool forum for sure. I lurk here, but it's a lot easier to communicate via Discord as others said. Only for more archival things like pages mods or really high effort feedback posts it makes sense to post here in my mind.
There will very likely another update for the test branch this year, read it on the discord.
It's in early access. It's not fully released in the sense that it's the 1.0 release with everything the devs wanted to add.
The DPS is per turret, so you can multiply it as you say to 16.0 in this case. For the pirates: the weapons are not identical stat-wise, that's why they're separately listed.
Can you explain more? What is this about?
thanks for the info, im about 10 hours into my game, i wiped out 2 other teams but it seems 2 of the 4 remaining teams are working together attacking on 2 fronts, its annoying me but i suppose thats a good thing, keeps me playing, (game is mixed between hard and unfair)
The actual FFA setting is currently the AI teaming up on you. If you want true FFA, you should use as many teams as you have players.
Hello! Would you be able to share a couple examples via dropbox link just in case? Ill bring this up to the team
It's because of the version lock. If the save was created on a different version than the current gamestate, the save won't show up (nor work). The exception is when it is a hotfix, then you can change the settings to make savegames show up again. Go to your settings (under %appdata%,
I’m not sure what you’re on, but there’s no need for the rant. But to not have to let you write another one, you are naturally free to do so (albeit on-topic pls). When I said ‘nothing wrong’ I meant for the starbase. They had to choose between no starbase at all, or do it the way they did now. You can still think they made the wrong choice on that I guess, but because of time constraints those choices were it. Unfortunately, it’s indeed like 2-3 we
Despite it actually not being clear at all on the store page, the game is in an early acces, alpha-state. That explains most of your points. Ships disappearing is a bit weird, maybe you can provide more information of that bug to the devs. The only way to buy the game is via the Epic Games store. There is no purchase option through Stardock directly, and you cannot register the game there. There is no official word on other stores (likely due to contractual obligations), but the commu
So, it is not that they did nothing wrong, because nothing wrong would mean flawless scripting, no bugs, no broken placeholders. That is clearly incorrect.
The game is in early access. By definition, nothing is finished or flawless or whatever. It's part of buying an early access game... They'd rather get stuff out sooner with placeholders than wait for months extra and don't get feedback. They probably then o

It's been fixed for a while now, by Intel. And you disagree with checking the minimum specs before buying? I hope that's a joke.
Hi everyone, I made a mod that adds an entirely new faction to the current patch of Sins 2, the Vasari Purists. This faction is entirely focused on a nomadic playstyle, as it is unable to to settle any planets at all. You start off with a modified Vasari Rebel titan, and get tools to still actually play the game. You're supposed to have the weakest economy, but they do have some tools. Here is the link to the github webpage, where you can download the latest ver
