if you blow up all research stations you lose access to any completed research, eg new ships etc. Unless that changed in the last patch or 2.
This is just false. As long as you researched the Tier, you're good.
That has not happened to me. Once I have researched the "tier 4" I am able to scuttle all the stations necessary to get me there.
Another option is just a plain refund at scuttling, which was present in Sins 1. Maybe then a plus modifier with a repair bay/component shop/(frigate) factory present. That would be in the same style as current component (item) building.
They're already aware of the issue (which also includes phase inhibitors) and it will be fixed. I'm not sure whether that will be for the next regular patch on the main game, or the one after though.
It's a shame there isn't an option to decommission ships at shipyards or something to recover some of the resources. I always feel bad blowing them up since you never see the crew leaving...
"When in a gravity well with x buildings, recover x% of the build cost" might be nice?
The worst thing was realizing that on Discord people doesn't give a d..n about the campaign: after this statement no one is commenting on it with whatever opinion.
That's plainly false. There is definitely a contingent that care. I do for example (but am also realistic). If five people respond to you on there, it's not showing that no one cares. Definitely not that you should react the way you did. I hope that the suppor
They never said a campaign would NEVER come. It's just very resource intensive to create and might not be 'worth' it in that sense. They have said it will not be part of the initial, 1.0 launch. Afterwards, I guess we'll see how it goes. User-created campaigns will likely also come, and can be pretty grand in scale if we get great modding tools (triggers? Still not sure whether we have those right now or whether they will come).
Next update, pretty sure this month!
You're missing a box? Did it come to mind that it may just not needed anymore? Turrets automatically fire on enemies vessels. If they do not, that is indeed a bug and a savefile or a video would be appreciated for the devs.
Seems like any ship that can, should target a planet, and when it does not damage retarget? At least if they have other capabilities than just shooting planets.
Well at the current rate of development, it feels like the game is (at a minimum) at least another year off. It's taken more than a year just to flesh out the TEC, so if it takes a years per faction then that would be another two years to go (assuming they release the Vasari this fall as scheduled). I honestly look forward to it as well, this game is already looking like it will surpass the original Sins in virtually every way
Lore wise, the phase lanes are blocked by gravity wells...
How does that work where multiple phase lanes come together? Are phase lanes just things by themselves? Can you elaborate on it a bit perhaps? :D
Handicap system - not super sure what you're after here. You can already set each AI player's difficulty and play style. This will have more meaning as we work on the AI later in the project.
Not what they said, but maybe a handicap toggle for resources, or other stats on players could be changed in the setup menu? Like Age of Empires does it for example.
I will have to take a look at "Equipping" the upgrade. Take for example the Sova Carrier, it has the missile turrets from the original design but this one fires no missiles even with the "Deploy missile batteries upgrade." mostly I see small guns firing. The missiles made the game more exciting, eliminating. Thank you still enjoy playing.
Build the component! You have 8 slots, the missile one is located to the left.<
I think that the laser (beam) and missiles research you are referring to are component researches. You then need to install the component on your ships (titan) and platforms (starbases). Also, the gaus cannon is probably the novalith cannon? What would you change about it? I think that a balance change was very much warrented from Sins 1.
Kinda seems like a balance thing, maybe? If you're playing with Capital victory on, and you're winning but the enemy has a cluster of 2-3 planets moving towards your capital they can snipe it. You can counter snipe it as well but then you'd just win by being a tiny bit quicker. The way to defend it however is just to use a planetary shield from a starbase, which should be doable in most scenarios when this situation would occur. The Ragnarov might be a bit of a problem there now as we
I'd suggest a series of changes specific to faction. The vasari can move their bases. Having the base be able to do an in system warp to engage quickly so fleets can't ignore the station is a great mechanic for defense. For the Advent, bases should be fighter hives. Failure to engage with it will result in waves of bombers tearing apart your fleet before you can take the planet. Major buffs to fighter capacity is lo
This is a ongoing discussion internally but we are almost 100% going to make the planetary shield and/or something like aux-gov available much earlier. Not to say we won't make other changes as well. This thread has lots of great feedback and suggestions, thanks! [e digicons]:)[/e]
Very happy to read you guys feel that to do something/add onto the orbital mechanics fits! Not sure whether I like this idea on the fac
Is that know for with absolute certainty? I assumed the same thing, but thought there was no harm in asking.
They have indicated on the discord, very slyly that can't answer the question, but they can't actually say it so there's no 100% sure way to know. Asking is fine, but it's also useless unfortunately.
They can never answer this (contract obligations), so all we can do is wait.

Did you check the latest update on the Test version? One of the main things was expanded minor faction capabilities. I sent this screenshot from Northgard a long while ago for inspiration. Definitely a good idea to expand on the minor factions further, which b
Unikraken is right, but there's also another possibility; you haven't updated your game. If you're not running the latest version (Test was just updated yesterday), you won't show as logged in either.
Your specs aren't too bad. [e digicons]:)[/e] Would you have a hot minute to try spamming like over a 1000 bomber squadrons and engage a fight with AI opponent to test performance? And if you can, can you test both 1440p and 4k perchance? You don't have to do any of this, but I'm honestly curious about the limits that we can push Sins 2 to. You're probably right, that RTX 2070 and i7-10875H was likely thermal throttl
For the usage components this feels very nice on the money. Quicker installation and cooldown times, plus a scale with technology for the repair, it really makes them reliable and just a quick thing to put on your caps when you need something without thinking (or exotics).
I'll repeat my answer on your dedicated thread; There's a RTX 2070 (mobile) and i7-10875H in that rig. They're also on 4K and screenrecording. It seems likely that this is due to that situation and it being a laptop. 2070 (mobile) is not meant for 4K in general; perhaps thermal throttling? But th
