Well that sucks. Guess we'll have plenty of time to see if it sucks or not while it languishes on Epic's garbage storefront. Shocked those guys still have the cash to buy up exclusives... must be all the Fortnite kiddies.
Being able to use their multiplayer services has been great for Stardock in the past. I guess I will never wrap my head around the Epic hate.
Guess I'll never be playing this. I make it a point not to buy games that have an exclusivity period with Epic. Such a trash company making trash moves to hurt gamers and pad their pockets. I've played every single Stardock game ever made. It is sad to end it on this. Was nice knowing you Stardock.
You must be lying. This is not the first Stardock game to have Epic exclus
Excited to play and give some proper feedback!
Indeed, standing ready to playtest and give feedback!
Really like these explanations! Every change is grounded in lore, and this also gives some nice hints to what will come in the game (namely, further improvements along the line of the original -> entrancement -> diplomacy -> rebellion). It really makes the world feel more alive. The TEC is of course most suited to this type of development, so I'm very interested to see (in due time) what the Vasari and Advent have done!
Somewhere in Q1 of 2023 multiplayer is coming; so it'll take a few more months, but by then it should at least be more complete (2 factions) and a lot of artwork, music and weird kinks will be replaced as well. Hopefully improved with my and everyone's feedback. So well worth it to actually wait until then to play with others I would say.

Happy to hear that!
Definitely something nice for in the FAQ!
Would it not also hamper development/cause technical issues? Maybe an endorsed campaign? :D
They very likely mean 32 euro. Weirdly enough, the euro price is just a lot lower than the dollar price, even though the dollar is worth more currently.
Glad to see there's at least another post! Since I've been active on the discord and forums, I can follow a lot of stuff, but maybe it would be an idea to just gather some of the questions and answers from the discord and forums. And maybe a little extra ship model would be nice? Something like this? :D Brad Wardell op Twitter: "Sins of a Solar Empire II transport. https://t.co/ycLMT0csid" / Twitter
It's an extra burden on development, but I would think that more often than monthly (especially in the coming weeks until EA) would really help engagement. If there's a Youtuber that can pick up on the journals, or even create a new Youtuber around the game (eventually), that's only helping you. It can just be simple and laying out some design hurdles, some info on stuff that's going to be in the EA, some of the questions you've answered here on the forums and on the discord; anything to driv
Really appreciate this response; it's exactly what people need to hear in my opinion. It also makes a lot of sense and exactly how I thought about it beforehand, but some people need it lain out.
Not to say I support the move, but I don't care either way. It just doesn't affect me, as much as people say Epic is owned by China, everyone's data is out there on the internet already. I'm also old enough to remember Steam's exclusivity deals (Rebellion? The irony). The devs making some more guaranteed cash is something we would all do given the chance. And, given my experience with console exclusivity, I'm just glad I don't need to buy a whole new device just for a game, but just download
There's the possibility to work with modders to let them bring the campaign to life under supervision of someone who decides the lore. A full on DLC would be better of course, but just to throw the option out there.
A great idea. A slightly different implementation, which I believe is similar or even the same as Ashes, is the way Stellaris has the Fleet Manager. That would be a great addition. And adding on top of what GoaFan77 mentioned, preset fleets could be made and then created like that as well to ease the burden of fleet creation.
I think the ship you can't identify is the TEC scout ship. Two things on your general takes: the game takes place 5 years after Rebellion, so lore-wise there can definitely be changes to how properly militarized the TEC is. The other thing is that lighting is important as well, and Sins 1 was quite a dark game. A darker skybox together with some small texture changes they will most likely make, can make the TEC shipset feel a lot more cohesive with the previous TEC shipset, while stil
Really excited for this! I was one of the people that did not expect it (as I did not follow the Facebook posts, nor got to see the swarm showcase). I just want to see in regards to the Epic exclusivity for now: if you care about getting a good game, give feedback on the early access. If you don't want to, it's fine to wait until release, but you'll have less impact on the game development. A few things I would really like, I think most have been said already: Something
