I've tried to run it in a window also; I kind of forgot to mention it. It does the exact same thing. As for my drivers, I grabbed the latest Omega drivers, so I thought they were up to date (which they seemingly are not..) Yeah, they aren't; the last update was in 2005. That's my fault right there I'll try the latest official nVi

I'm having this really weird glitch when I try to play at work (at home everything's fine). Only half the screen gets rendered! It's cut in half, horizontally; the text is still displayed at the correct place, however. It's really strange, and it makes the game completely unplayable, obviously. Even the intro movie is affected. I've updated my drivers and everything.. Nothing worked. Here's my debug.err with the game

I've actually seen that problem in the 1.13 patch where I would hit enter frequently to go through turns quickly; sometimes the TURN button turns into the clock and will not respond to enter keypresses anymore. Clicking on the button works wonderfully, however. It's just a chore :)

I've been having another problem for a few days and it seems related to one particular Galactic Council event; when I get the event about sharing techs, if by some stroke of luck the vote ends up on 8, the game gets stuck in an infinite loop. Proof: I taskswitch out of the game, look at the task manager, and GalCiv eats up 99% of my cpu for at least 5 minutes :) System specs: Athlon XP 2000+ with 512mb ram running on an XP machine.

Hey guys.. First post! (considering I got the game 3 days ago) I found a bug. It's kinda small, but hey, it's a bug, and seeing as I work in QA for a games company I'm kinda used to writing these reports. In any case, if you are building the Galactic Guidebook and click on the ? sign, it's description has problems. Namely, instead of seeing the % sign in the description, it shows 18900448, with the last 8 either overlapping or messing up the 'i' letter from the word influence.
