In game player setup you choose your race but you don't want to know or have a copy of your chosen race or sub faction to fight against.

First try....
I think a Sins 2 that focused on small scale battles with more depth per ship should of been the way to go to differentiate from Sins 1. Crews,Captains,Admirals. etc Really deep into the tech of each ship. Maybe at max 100 ships per race but tactical and deep in the Sins world. It's probably not too late.
Question, since its going from Sins 1 to Sins 2, there arent any new units? That seems rather odd for a second iteration of the game. In fact, we lost some units and even a capitol ship from game 1. Is that in the works at all? A new capitol ship? Or maybe a ship between capitol and titan?
That's usually how to appeal to players of the original game give them more toys and ships and more ships. Not in this case..
Homeworld 3 is coming out next month so they want no part in any competition in release dates.

There are more threads on AI art and I Need a Joke than talk of the game.
Impressed with the keystrokes. 🤣🙄
Since these can be made by anyone I don't bother looking at them, they are meaningless.
Still don't understand the lack of mines,or the removal of one type of frigate and cap ship for each race. I used to like the cielo.
The KOL should be a mini titan able to take on 3x caps. Don't have Sins 2 currently but the huge twin turrets and shearing off of the front of the original KOL is a design mess.
With a second faction arriving, I thought I'd take the plunge with Sins2. I expected it to be a fancy remastering of the original Sins, but it's absolutely not that at all! Playing it back-to-back with Sins is really eye-opening. It carries over everything that made the original so good, but it all feels so much better. It's pretty much the prefect reimagining of a classic game. Just about every RTS released over the last 5 years has been met with anger
Why did they feel the need to reinvent the wheel? Keep the games original damage formulas and ships...copy/paste to the new engine and start Sins 2 upgrades from there.

To bad some of those "moving turrets" could'nt be targeted and destroyed to add some strategies to the game.
Could ships be made to retreat automatically after a certain amount of specified damage? And ships that do retreat should do so at the that particular ships fastest full engines ahead speed. Add a graphic around ships trying to retreat....

Or use it's math abilities to eventually just be able to upsclae any type of digital image?
It is not at all apparent that this game is in pre alpha stage on the store page, buyer beware.
