The Torians who are supposidly chaotic good tend to act like any evil race. I have no idea if this is a bug or working as intended. The only 'good' aspect of them is that they tend ot get along better with the Altarians. As for me, I can be saintly, and if I have no millitary and the torians are not at war with anyone else, they WILL demand tributs and/or attack me outright. The Altarians, however, will never attack another good civ unless you give them a really good reason, such as

I seem to have problems doing this some times. Planets just wont revolt no matter what I do. Two cases: 1. A new independent race appears in sector that I have like 1800 influence. It has like 5. I goes on happily as if there is nothing going on for many turns until it is killed by one of the AIs. Why doesnt it revolt? 2. The degens were down to 1 planet, thier capitol, I have 2400+ influence to thier 700. I am spending over 600bc a turn on destabilzation, and

In a related question I keep forgetting to ask, is why is my ability to spend money (government spending) so limitied and what governs how much I can spend? For example it can be set to 100% yet I still can make 900bc per turn with no way to add that into exisiting economy. Also is there a way to focus spening on a few planets instead of having it spread out? Frequently in late games Ill aquire a planet that has very few to any upgrades while the majority of my planets

In one game I had a near monopoly on resources, I had like 5 economy resources fully upgraded, I am not sure what the total was, but proabbly something like 75% bonus for each with 5 of such bases. Now my income on each planet was far below the expense to run the planet even wtih my buildings boosting them, and 375% bonuses from resources. So what exactly is this bonus doing? Now I play merchentile and get +20 trade, I assume that is a bonus from my freighters. Does my base

I think the lack of damage to a planet when an invasion fails is proabbly an oversite that needs to be corrected. Also are you sure transports come fully loaded? I play traders and I bought some transports figuring I could dump them on my worlds to boost population, but they always seem to be empty.

I am still messing with settings, currently I am chosing huge with occasional(or whatever the middle choice is) planets. Still though I tend to get overrun with influence quickly and lose any colonies. So military victory is the best? I never had one of those, I even tried to be an evil basterd with all the military techs with normal AI and I got clobbered each time. However, I am now doing genius level AI using my Terran Trade Alliance and do very well assuming I have breathing ro

Actually id like the idea of some techs that have bad side effects, although Id rather see techs that have morality effects and more techs that are available only to good or evil. For instance some very low level techs available to anyone will shift your alignmnet to good or evil because your just tinkering with this big moral techs. You might go planting forests and flowers everywhere increasing your PQ by 10%, shifting you towards good, but decreasing military and civilian production

Yea the tactical advantages would be great for instantanious teleports. I wonder if they should simply be a mod added to a starbase rahter then thier own indepdent things. I guess it doesnt really matter, but the ability to move huge fleets around instantly for attacking or defending would be awsome. Also, on that note, planets could be linked in a similar method allowing troops to move to planets being attacked as well (without the need of troop transports). It might making taking

I think the only thing luck does is give you good ships and perhaps bad things from happening when you have a prsion colony or monster zoo. When I had luck I never had one of those things go bad on me. I think all the really nice things are limited to the AI, such as the PQ improvements.

Or perhaps like us they have telescopes and just looked. It would not be unreasonable for humans to know where the yellow stars are since you can just look up at night with a telescope and see them. Even now were looking at PLANETS in solar systems, so getting the star right should not be a big deal. Anyway, it was just done for gameplay reasons, it just rubs me wrong because I consider it cheating. What really annoys me is as soon as i discover them fleets of AI colony ships snap th

1. I would like to a huge improvement in espionage. Right now its to simplisting and isnt a major force in the game. In large empires even destabalization doesnt seem to have much of an effect despite spending 1000s of bc per turn. What I would like is more detailed espionage stuff to do such as: Most of these have two modes, specific and general, where as the general modes are much easier. A) Sabatoge planetary improvments. Either a particular planet or anywhere en the em
