Last roadmap that showed only projected regular updates up to Q1 2026, usually around april you made some of the previous ones and last one said something of the 4th faction that there would be some sort of a bit of info on them, though my fast looking through all the news PR articles I found none. I was wondering a bit about current geopolitical situation, if we will see the 4th faction finished. ('Force Majeure' :p)

The tune and the mood of this new music is much less positive. On its own, how does the music add up ? Old music I think think was more music than ambience. It is much more chilly, not all of it - it gives the vibes of the extremely chilly ambience of Ashes of the Singularity. I get the sense that game makers mostly have come to a 'scientific' consensus that ambience is the way to go. Say Heroes III, IV, V, and the rest have pretty consistently good music. Not the same
Ship upkeep should be about simply cutting the number of ships you can maintain as active. A planet can maintain x number of ships not by increasing popcap, but by increasing your income which youll be able to use to have more active ships. SoaSE 1 upkeep was extremely bad, but apparently some people think it was so good xD Problem there was that once you lost your fleet, upkeep stayed even without the ships that you lost. Had or didnt have them. In other words, soase
So, while I do not feel like the economy is heading in the best direction - since the late game resource bloat is not addressed only made slower, I do really think that you ought to experiment with fleet size or everything in space/on planets too, to have upkeep of sorts. Logistics supply upgrades should probably work to make the upkeep less expensive. 1/1000 of cost per second in upkeep is pretty expensive, as in 16,67 minutes youre paying the ship cost in just having it. Cap
At first you tried to force asteroid use for mining. Because it was the only income in SoaSE 1 and 'you' seemed to believe that soase 1 economy was better. No mining on planet, just asteroids. At first there were no population mechanics, then in this beta you cut out most planet mining income to complete 0, then proceeded to nerf mining incomes from pop even more. Very much fun and very immersive. Not. Frustrating to play with. This sort of economy tries to rape player into fo
There is an RTS from 2000, which back in the day I played a demo, in a game magazine CD after years learned it was drowned in bad reviews. No internet back then, thankfully. Back in the real world :) of tangibles. I will presume that mostly nobody played it or forgot about it because it was so long ago. (100-200-500 years I think can be described as such :) ) I read a review that said that the game lacked imagination :D So much that other games couldnt come up with a similar s
The answer is obvious, you do not look at numbers, because they cause brain damage from sudden strain. In actual reality, more accurate numbers are better, even though it would be useful to have damage per unit of time shown to have an even better understanding. It is advisable, that people know the systems in detail, otherwise it is downgrading the ability of a player to grasp game mechanics and numbers without being forced to read files, which is what youre trying to steer s
Regarding the game narratives, something you will find not present in games from 20-30 years ago, is a major shift in the narratives. Regarding the doom and gloom, end times narratives seemingly out of nowhere, these were pushed by certain groups of people with money on demand. Suddenly many of the games started spouting these. Everybody does not change tune all of a sudden by themselves after all. I was wondering why that was the case, what kind of ideas, or values these game
The spreadsheet making was a bit much to continue with, will see if I continue with it.(still tired) anyway, I did some playing and this time around when sieging planets turrets seemed to not go asleep at all, so probably the beta patches did something to fix the behaviors at least some of them. Culture decay still at 200% after all researches done. TEC. ......... What I wanted to mention, ! Finally it came back :) The debris from destroyed big ships ha
Since like a week ago or so when the beta-test that added the SuperCaps. Units bombing planets most of the time do not shoot at anything else. Turrets most of the time go idle. When there are other hostile things in the grav well, it seems most civ targets (not sure if turrets etc as well) do not get targeted at all. You need to directly attack the civ buildings to be targeted at all. Rather weird - new behavior. This used to happen year/s ago as
Are you sure the Chevarkov battlecruiser has any PD ? When I checked it has only 100 and 200 AP weaponry. Im not aware that a 100 AP turret acts as Flak. 0 PD, while the modularity is awesome, they are greatly vulnerable to missile weaponry, same feature as Oblivia. High AP possibility, with the Rail guns and gausses/missiles. Also, both missiles, advanced and heavy ones share AP rating, which is 600. Not sure if that is really intended. missiles light, medium heavy, s
The TEC research says that culture drop is 100% per jump instead of 200 %. Even after researching this, when looking at a grav well, it still says culture decay is at - 200% per jump. I suppose the tooltip in game not changing is most likely the thing that is actually applied, meaning, the research is not doing anything.
Was thinking for a bit about those, long ago when I sued to play mass effect games, especially 1 and 2 had to me a great build in forming up the Who is who and what is what even though the series were unfortunately filled with more and more of ideology, thus dissonance with each iteration (2007-2010-2012) For a campaign of any depth, you will need to have a multitude of factions, their interests, them asserting themselves. Since planets are something like cities, countries mad
Offensive TEC ship Great build, 3-4 main weapons and 3 secondary turret emplacements, having their specialization from single to many targets, skill option from dps to debuffs, to aura for movement with aura improvement as skill base amount increase only and additional duration. Did not try the turn-off skill.(lv 6 - 10 ult skill) When playing vs highest difficulty, things tend to go overwhelming, where that reminder comment is pretty useful, about whether the loadout is right. Nice n
Lv. 6 - lv. 10 skill on the new ship when looking at enemy ship stats, dps and ranges, seems to increases enemy ranges, instead of shortening them, decreasing attack cooldown, thus increasing dps. ....... Kodiak issues, from personal standpoint. It is very squishy, has only 300 durability, so far short of heavy cruisers. Has less dps and worse pen. 100 pen turrets 2,3 dps is almost absent. Side turrets could have 5 dps without pen increase. (+100% dmg) 1 turret
Can you please remove the chips in brains from those images ? It looks disgusting. I was thinking of writing explanations of how these 'scifi' tropes are actual agendas of evil people, who were conspiring into trying to force people by taking away their jobs etc., when they were floating balloons about how to make it impossible to buy and sell without their platform having the ability to deny payment if you did not comply with the fascists in 2020-2022 artificial crisis, (mrna
Sure the game doesnt NEED a 4th faction, same way there doesnt need to be the bifurcation between slightly different factional variants. And for proper balance, there needs to be only 1 faction while graphically you can have multiple. Is that not how chess is balanced ? Mirrored faction, one going first. Differences between rebel and loyalst factions used to be, one got more armor, they could have some hull differences, more or less guns per hull in some cases, stronger or wea
What is the difference between the first and second game ? Music in comparison is doom and gloom When there was first tune for this game, I was a bit wondering about : when will some more lively music come to soase 2. The majority of what I heard was sleepy and sleepifying. You hear it for some time and youre asleep, or staring into nowhere while the game plays. Solution :Turn the music off. I mean, I will explain my stance regarding the 'iconic' and wh
I was hoping that paradoxicals were already out of business by now ? Are there still ignorant folks giving them money for disrespect in return ? I hope that people in time will grow brains and stop supporting gaslighting nobodies. I was thinking a bit and wondering, since you want to sell some expansions. Something that upgrades the game overall as an expansion. Adding a ship tier ? It is good to fill out probably missing out unit tiers and that is definitely good. For
I mean, I wrote a large piece of text at first,(well I ended up with another :D) Steam rent for doing nothing, the middleman rentier gets 30%. 4,5€/USD or how they count it. From a more reasonable 10 or 10,50. Win conditions ? Vasari run away to continue their 10k+ years journey. They win. Everybody else then loses ? Or they just game-over pat themselves on the back -or they jump to another star ? But that wouldnt be game over. So subjectively for them it is a win, but ev
Well, I read again my post and noticed some mistyping,(sometimes keyboard doesn't write what I type or ignores a few letters and checking after posting makes some of my then-ideas rather hard to understand and properly edit to get to the idea when I was in the creative/explorative mood and no longer there when checking the texts later) though me naming command ships before they were announced on Steam ??? :) Checking out my post when writing is too much because When I push the post button I'm
I find this idea interesting, because usually when you had suggestions of similar ship types beside the boss unit - and a straight jump to vastly underperforming cap ship in comparison, when I looked back t mods for soase 1 there were usually classes of sub-titan very big cap ships. But a tier between cruiser and cap ship ('hero') I havent seen yet. Years ago I suggested that all ships gain exp from doing their thing. So it is not only just the heroes who privatize all the exp
While I dont remember ever having stacks of units of Soase:R, perhaps it is because I havent played it since, however the current panel does not fulfill the information display that would show all useful info, not having to pin planets and units to the left side, same for fleets, but having it organized in what I remember as not missing details, soase 2 interface looks more of a filler that would remind of the old game, while not providing the functionality of the old game. Meaning, all the d
very vague statement.
Just in case devs did not notice or forgot about my older posts. And what seems rather wrong with them. Frontal 6 barrels gun shoots with 100 pen, something like 16 bullets total. 2,5 bullets per barrel. Side guns that seem possibly 300-like pen heavies are only considered medium guns. 200 pen. Guns shoot 4 bullets each, 8 total. In comparison, Harcka heavy Cruiser has 5 turrets and each shoots 5 bullets. 25 total big fiery tracers. Corsair gun firing a
