Just in case devs did not notice or forgot about my older posts. And what seems rather wrong with them. Frontal 6 barrels gun shoots with 100 pen, something like 16 bullets total. 2,5 bullets per barrel. Side guns that seem possibly 300-like pen heavies are only considered medium guns. 200 pen. Guns shoot 4 bullets each, 8 total. In comparison, Harcka heavy Cruiser has 5 turrets and each shoots 5 bullets. 25 total big fiery tracers. Corsair gun firing a

Well after a long while I discovered it was all to max, and after tinkering a bit with setting,s I turned dynamic and lighting to min/off and it looks somewhat better imo :P though I didnt try using cel shader with shadows off yet. Advent stuff 'without' shadows looks sometimes a bit plastic-y I dont really mind not seeing the chrome reflections too much. and while it sometimes does look a bit duller, framerate doesnt drop and its visuals have their own, different style. Kind

When there is about 80- 100 destra crusaders on screen, framerate drops suddenly. Perhaps some options to disable the reflections or something, when I have them off-screen and see them fire, all the projectiles dont slow the framerate, but the very highly perhaps high poly + reflective chrome-like surface is killing performance. At least on my gtx1080. All their projectiles firing, doesnt do anything, them being on screen turns to like 5 frames per second from otherwis

2 months later, Lost interest playing with strangers. Those who want to play dont want PvP. Ive long since abandoned online pvp games, Im back to local offline in whichever games there are. Soase2 is much faster so far than old game, without increases in incomes and builds, I remember 7-8 hours games, which was cut to like 3-4 with increases to income s research and constructions. I was a bit wondering if it was bad making 2 tiers of one tech. Like init

AI focus fires and if you dont, you lose. With ships that like overkill and no retarget is available, you have the option to not focus. say light frigates dont do damage without focus fire at all. Unless there is a cloud of them vs fewer targets. There is also PD that can shoot all the missiles down, so it isnt quite universal to say where focus is better vs worse. Small engagements with low dps being spread out would be ok if AI did the same. Having to hold Alt to dea

Tested it on the beta, AI never circles their defenses around the planets, even though theoretically, geostationary orbits do exist :P meaning, some planet defenses could be closer and circle with the planet. Gravity wells too small to support placement of a starbase via planet build menu, while via starbase item, they will be buildable. Starbases bigger than planets :P Bigger planets will be harder to defend btw. Planetary atmosphere is not affected by nukes,

I didnt know retro shading as well as that monochrome old monitor thingy would be making the pixel look like coming out of Atari 2600 :P Looks like Harbingers weapons at least are getting nearing completion considering the weaponry on their ancient starbases. Since color scheme matches the DLC pale blue deathly color palette with the Harbingers on Stheem page :) If I remember correctly around april 2023 first Titans started appearing :) There are

I was wondering a bit about it, so maybe some ideas will be of interest. Will there be sections of the campaign, that retell the pre-SoaSE, even first game narrative ? Or is it all already after the split in the factions. The lack of SoaSE:R campaign, all the cinematics were a nice general way of telling a story, but I do think that you could or should be able to capitalize

I do not see the reason why the analogy supposedly doesnt work. It is just a tool that does what it is told. Yes, there are layers and layers upon layers of maths. It is not a person by any stretch, as some would love to imply by making it look as such. It does look to me in basics like you are still in essence putting 1+1 and the fancy calculator proceed to generate results.

Let the great artists use the algorithms. Let them earn their money via programming :) I mean, it is the US after all, where state authorities/bureaucracy claim reality is subjective some of the time. As far as I understand, author identifies himself or herself with the work done via software. Even when most of the work is done via software that requires minimum to no input from the 'author'. I mean, the one giving commands to the software claiming to be the sole author of the product
for me, i feel like i have to zoom too close to the ships to hear any battle sounds. it'd be nice to hear them a bit further out.
Definitely. Previously up close engine sounds used to be overwhelmingly loud. Looks like this isnt the case any more. But the shooting itself like of those early small ships is unheard of unless you zoom in close. Otherwise it is like you have sound off. When you see the units, a

I personally did look through the model, did see the glass etc.such a structure on a combat/frontline vessel seems to me a bit something that gets blown away immediately, after shields go off. I mean, in case it isnt shut off of the whole ship, if glass breaks, whatever is contained there, whatever it might be might be of no use. Its armament is ultra lackluster, I thought TEC might want to add a very heavy auto/cannon turret.bigger than harcka :) 225-275 pen :) with slow RoF, low DpS,
Hello! This is interesting to hear. I've been seeing a few different pieces of feedback surrounding sound design in general lately, however this is one of the first I've seen asking for more rather than less
You could say that some things need to be heard more, some less, meaning, some things need to be heard more, some toned down. It is an overall improvement imo from pre-release, but pretty much all sounds need to

They have been changed, afaik in late pre-release. Those include changes to the fusillade, that previously had that group 'oorah' from what was used on Kol ult skill. Now it uses pretty loud 'static' (no better word in my vocabulary) electrical sound effect. At least to me, it seems too loud, or the choice of the sound itself, could be something less unpleasant to the ear. I would also say that I find those lightnings running around the ship too much visible. They don't look b
This is the first negative balance update for me. I've spammed PD ships for the advent and missiles get through. At least 85+ percent of them. Now when I go up against the vasari, the just snipe all my capitals with tons of missile boats and kill them off even when the ships are protected by a fleet and the planets 4-5 hangars of strikecraft. Really hope the nerf of PD against missiles gets undone because it's almost unplayable right now.<br /

Autocasting against that Progenitor ship seems to be the problem, Marza with autocast both the concussive shot and the missile debuff dont autocast against it either. I presume other ships cant autocast against that ship type also.

Reactive armor tooltip says +20 to armor strength and 35% missile damage reduction to hull damage. Missile barrage throws 100 dmg missiles with 600 pierce. My capship equipped with Reactive Armor received a hundred dmg each volley. So, either Reactive Armor does not reduce hull damage via missiles at all, or the missiles from the barrage are exempt. .................................... I was thinking a bit, if beam upgrades could upgrade the beam skill

You dont have to look at the stats if numbers cause you discomfort. They are actually very useful to most other people, who want to understand the game mechanics without having to search ingame files. Those help, but are not required. The more math for you, the better. Youre not getting grades like in schools and their very often, incapable teachers who have no mind their own and dont even how to teach, math especially anyway :) maths can be fun.
