So far this has only happened once, but I often quit and re-load my game (anal even in testing...) and on one occasion the quit to menu (to exit the game) caused a blue screen of death dump. Elemental dump file, dxdiag, and Dr.Watson dump file can be found in the link below: https://www.dropbox.com/link/17.3IDrrPNKl0?k=8f206944da2039a328d6b66ae020518a

+1 on that. I would also like to add that the enter key or spacebar should be utilized for many of the pop-up boxes that you must now manually mouse over and click on. This may already been discussed and if so I apologize for the duplication!
I wanted to mention, in case it was not reported already, that making those settings does allow the user to play, but the environment is severely artifacted. You see lines across the word, polygons and random shapes (grey), etc. Thank you again for a great game - looks like it is really coming along!
Have a 7950 with latest drivers, character cards and map where borked when I first got in ( map was pure white and character cards where indecipherable ), turned off advanced lighting and anti-aliasing and am good now.
Nuemcy - Thanks ! That worked!
Thank you for the update Frogboy. Are you finding that the newer drivers are fixing the problem (before I try it) or should I just jump onto my desktop with the ati 4790?
It may very well have to do with my older NVIDIA video drivers, but when I click on the different Sovereigns the boxes are blank or in some case they have a mis colored cape silhouet. Pastebin would not accept your default error log? I needed to cut it into two.. http://pastebin.com/Jta0DWkw http://pastebin.com/SFzgaz13 After creating the 2nd entry it appears to dislike
Impulse load test time.... lets hope they have the perfmons running!
Ferang, Thank you for offering that suggestion, but that was the first thing I tried after trying to figure out why I could not download it. I guess I will try emailing SD to see if they have any suggestions. I just wanted to query the community first. If Beta 2B is coming out in a week or so that is not too bad, but if Beta 3 is several weeks out then I would have to imagine there is some type of solution. Thank you again guys.
Hi there, I apologize if this is the wrong place or if I had a bad search string. I saw that beta1 was only sent out to folks that pre -ordered before beta1 was released, but I saw no reference to beta2. I just purchased the pre -order and I was expecting to recei ve a serial # in the email or see that the game was added to my impulse account. I waited a little bit, but it still has not shown so I suspect that I may not receive i
Thanks guys! We will give that a shot. To be honest, my friend and I are still learning and we are not great at playing other players. We have never rage quitted, but we normally get our you know what's handed to us. We are still learning. Anyway, we normally play 3 vs 5 with 1 AI on our team and then 5 HARD AI on the computer side. We play the game with the citadel must be destroyed and our games normally last >2 hours. Yes, we are slow.
I've had the same problem since the "wipe" / patch. I've stopped playing since none of my custom game favor points are being added to my total. I've been wondering if maybe custom games no longer give players favor points since all the talk in the dev forums about rankings and such?
I have no problem with not ranking custom games, but as a player that only plays custom games I want my favor points back!! Since the wipe I have played 4-5 games and NONE of my favor points got carried over or added to my bank. I can understand having two favor point banks, but only being able to obtain favor points via pantheon games is ridiculious. I even played LAN multiplayer games and no favor points were assigned. Maybe it's just a bug in
I wanted to point out that non-proxy based games are significantly quicker. We were able to get a game off, but we still saw a ping-out window 2-4 times during it. Plus, there were multiple occasions were it would pause and the char would end up where it should have been if no pause existed. Even with the lessened lag, (240-250 ping down to 140 ping), the OAK bug still occured and movement seemed sluggish / not smooth. Also, i'm guessing that there is no meth
3rd that. The game is great it just need to get the kinks worked out. :)
I feel that the DemiGod AI is pretty good (for what it is). My only complaint is that it is nearly impossible to defeat them once they reach level 14/15. I've played at least 20 games now, and although I still consider myself quite a n00b, I feel that this is somewhat harsh. It's gotten to the point that my friends and I totally ignore the Demigods and just capture the portals and then the game is pretty much won. It's rare that the AI will ever go af
Ok, so a buddy and I have been playing a lot of custom games together over the past week or two. We are still learning so we are normally playing us vs AI or us+AI + a large group of AI. We have never experienced any lag! It's been great. Yes, there are some other problems, but the game was a blast! Now we got 2 patches for v1.01, fired up a game and the lag has never been worse! And, often when I click in units to attack with my w
Same problem here when I am on the cablemodem,, but it seems to work fine (so far) on Verizon WiMax. Has anyone posted, asked, if there is a certain set of ports that can be allowed through / forwarded for perimeter firewalls like ISA Server, M0n0wall, CiscoPIX, etc? I see that it uses a port in the 6500 range for hosting, but is that the same for peer-2-peer connections? What about the proxy connection? That did not seem to work through the perimeter f
I would appreciate a coupon as well if someone is willing. I don't want to take someone's coupon that plans on using it on a friend, but if it's just going to expire I will more than gladly make use of it!
guess I missed it. I think it was the maid??
Why wait? +1 k?
I also know that you had it spelled serial instead of cereal when you originally posted this.
I suspect that he removed that and replaced it with a body is full of misspelled words that are easily skimmed and preceived incorrect. Gotta love the eye and brain and how it fills in the gaps.
I agree that's a great one. I'm begging for two coupons to add two more players that have been SD supporters for several years now and I know that they will make right of this problem plus add plenty of wonderful features to the product. At least if history will repeat itself. Sorry.. I couldn't think of any nifty quotes. :)
I found the answers to my questions in the forums already. Thanks guys!
I haven't played DA, and I haven't been able to play a stable game of TA yet, but I always enjoyed it when the pirates arrived. Granted, they are VERY powerful - but not impossible. It forced me to research a bunch of technologies and pump out a bunch of SUPERShips to dominate the universe with after - it allows these superships to lvl up. In my case, the pirates have always popped up in the end of my tech tree and when I have my colonies well established. So, I can usually take out all o
Hey guys. I don't agree with Rhamiel exactly; however, I have noticed that TA runs like crap atm. I have started three different games, immense, huge, and a random size and all three have crashed after about an hour of play time. I have even tried going back to older save games and doing things differently. However, it does not appear to change the end result. The game just freezes with no response. The memory usage at the time of the freeze is only about 900MB's and if you let it go it
