I figure since I already pay $50 a month for internet access I shouldn't need to pay to play a game. If I do... I simply don't buy that game, or in this case, console. It's sad how greedy these corps are getting.

However, any skin author that is told their skin is triggering this warning, they need to get their systems cleaned, because they might very well have the actual virus. Then why come off defensive like it's not a problem or "even the beginnings of a concern"? I'd think it would be a concern to the skin authors who likely have the virus on their

Thanks for the heads up Zoomba but I'm with Jombay on this one WWW Link 2 (check last post in thread). Better safe than sorry.
I should have added that the virus was picked up by McAfee. I haven't tried to run Norton on the file yet.
This time it's the W32/HLLP.Phillis.ini virus. Found cleaned and deleted. I think it odd that I've never had a virus alert from a Blind before and in two weeks I've had two from Championship submissions. I don't blame the developers, without them there would be no skins and themes, but I'd ask that maybe they update their definitions and/or use multiple programs to double-check before submitting.
Yes, I'm running McAfee and it could be a McAfee quirk but it did find and delete the file on a full sweep. It could also be like running adware programs, one program doesn't see anything but the next one will. They only see bugs that they have the definitions for. P.S. "if" there is a virus in the file I don't think that JJYing would have known about it. People with that kind of skill tend to be very conscientious.
I just went to download JJ Ying's submission V!VA for Windowblinds and my AV software popped up to warn me that I had recieved W32/HLLP.Philis.ini virus along with the download. It's a low risk virus but that's beside the point. Are these submissions scanned before they are posted? I've never gotten anything from a WB before. Is this possibly a mis-identification?
Are the buttons in Mozilla Firefox skinnable by WB? I just noticed that they never take the buttons the way IE does.
I just have to ask if you run McAfee antivirus on your machine? I had the same problem as you and in my case it was the antivirus software conflicting with my PC's DLA software (allows you to drag and drop files to CD/R/RW). The only remedy there was for me to either get rid of McAfee or uninstall my DLA software. Uninstalling the DLA (in my case HP DLA) worked fine for me. Veritas Record now, HP record now, and stand alone DLA apps cause this conflict

I do the same Wyrm, but it's just not satisfying
Any chance of getting a version that will run smoothly with Photoshop CS? Please?
Well, if you run it on dual monitors post back and say if it drags on your system when you pull it from your main to secondary monitor. It gives me really choppy performance when moved. I'll probably be sticking with Winamp for the most part after trying this out.
Hi all. Now that I have installed SP2 when I go to download a Windowsblind I get a .zip instead of .wba file. Normally I just click "open" but now I need to save the .zip and install through the WB interface. Anyone else run into this or know how to overcome it? Thank's in advance.
I can only imagine what that person went through. When I was young we had horses and a wonderfuly powerful electric fence that was designed to keep the deer out and the horses in. It suffice to say that it did neither one. Nor did the tales of it's power deter me from grabbing on to it...you really can't let go. The first thing that happens is that all of your muscles contract (unless you're a 1,000 lb an
Hey, thank's for getting back to me. Sorry I didn't stop to say thank's sooner.
Not happening huh?
The "favorite skin" thread got me to thinking (very rare occurrence). I absolutely LOVE Docking Station by TheGreenReaper, but even after doing the registry edit on two different machines I still get the text blending into web pages especially ion buttons and login screens. If Green Reaper or anyone else could tell me a fix for this or fix it if it's the skin, it would bring bring that skin up to 100% in usability. Thank's anyone!
Docking Station by TheGreenReaper. Awfully creative.
So I had installed Icon packager and noticed my system behaving poorly. I let it go a week or two and noticed that the desktop would redraw very slowly when closing a window or program or game. The icons on the desktop would flash repeatedly from default to their specific theme icon. Finally I just uninstalled it and everything is back to normal. Is there some performance setting I''m missing? Hardware incompatibility? WIndows XP home (all uodates applied) P4 2.2gz ATI Radeon 9
Thank's Koasati. I didn't have that option in the version I was running. I have the registered version and didn't realize that it was a free upgrade.
Awww crud. Nevermind. I got bored and kept digging here and found that it's only supported in WB 4.2. I upgraded and it's all good. I should know not to post if I haven't looked for at least 1 hour for an answer first
Why can't I get Windowblinds to skin the Back, forward, home, & other buttons in explorer and IE so that the buttons look like the skins do in the screenshots? I've tried unchecking "use windows XP style Explorer brs" and that didn't do it. I also have "use any icons supplied" checked, no luck there either. Anyone have a suggestion?
