So it really is getting a bit faster around here eh? And I thought my connection upgrade was responsible

Good of you to take care of it and. . no need to apologize either. It's not your fault that people do annoying things right? Thank's again.
Really nice of you to investigate this, thank's for the time. I did try a third machine after running spybot on it and deleting temp files and again, I got the installer pop-up. Doesn't happen after logging in though. Sorry, but it's three for three on this site. Thank's again KarmaGirl for looking into it. I hope they fix it.
Ran Adaware followed by an updated version of Spybot and wouldn't ya know, a total of 68 items between the two of them. But, I cleaned my other machine out and came here (not logged in) and got the same pop-up for scratch cards. But no more on this machine since I logged in here and cleaned up my machine. I'm not sure which it was, the not logged in thing or the spyware thing yet. I'll try coming here on my laptop later without logging in and see if I get it or not.
Is the "Would you like to download free scratchcards?" pop-up window something new from Wincustomize.com? Or is it something gone silly on my own system?
Mine's just a non offensive curse word from long ago. Every once-in-a-while I'd say it in a group of friends when I'd do something stupid or painful and nobody ever knew what the hell I was talking about, so I kept the word. If you ever choose to say "Flibbertygibbets" make sure that you pronounce it "FlibbertyFRIGGINgibbets" or you'll sound like Mary friggin Poppins!
It still says 1:45 on my dock clock. . .
Anyone have any idea why the clock in Object Dock constantly stops? My system clock is fine, but the one in OD is dead as a door nail and when I open the properties it just says "Clock options not yet added". What does that mean? Am I missing something? The clock seems to work fine for a while after I start OD, but then it just stops. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like that entire country needs a swift kicki in the nutz. But what can you say? Everybody needs a little sillyness now and then.
#3 by brdfryr123 - 1/24/2003 8:24:56 PM Flibberetygibbets, you may want to consider buying the whole package. It really is a good bargain for under $50. There is so much stuff included it's almost overwhelming. Too much stuff for me to keep track of.
So, if I'm an owner of Window's Blinds presently (bought and paid for) I can't just upgrade to 4.0 without buying the full Object Desktop? I was under the (probably mistaken) impression that WB was freely upgradeable for a year or something after you paid for it. No big deal, I just would rather only pay for what I use, which is WB not any of the other components. Will there be an option to buy only the components that you want in the future?
I recently upgraded to a 2.2 GZ machine, with a Gfarce Ti4600, all the goodies. I did this for more than just apps though. I'm a sucker for a smooth running game. I think I used the recent slowdown of my 1gz in some newer imaging apps as an excuse to upgrade I intend from now on only to upgrade components, not the whole system again, until motherboards are redesigned and no longer fit the case. Do your upg
Does anyone use WB on a laptop? If so, does it bog it down? If it runs smoothly for you, what are your specs?
I have to say that I never expected so many gracious responses, especially to a complaint. Thank you all very much.
Thank's Grog for your reply. I have no doubt at all that I could recieve assistance through other channels than Stardock. It's more the principle of the thing, backing up a product. T-man, I appreciate that it can take a while to get back to someone, but my first contact with Stardock was over a month ago now and as I said, when they asked me for system specifics I sent them and got no response what so ever from them. I understand that this is surely not your personal problem. I have worked bef
Having problems reaching Stardock for support of WB? I have emailed them and called them repeatedly on the phone trying to get someone to give me assistance with the crashing problems I'm having when running WB. I recieved one response from tech support asking for my system info (which I immediately sent them) only to recieve no further responses from them. Their telephone tech support and sales system is also a joke. I left a message there a MONTH ago and never got a call back. I have never go
It does alot more, when it works, I'll give it that. I am still having troubles with Photoshop even after excluding it from WB. Microsoft Office apps are crashing on me as well, so I excluded those. Now the only things that I use regularly thatare skinned are I explorer and outlook. Does anyone know if there is an update coming that will address these issues?
Ok, another question then. With all the tweaking that must be done for WindowsBlinds to function well, , ,why is it considered so much better than those ThemeXP "Visual Styles"? Aside from roll up windows of course.
When I resize or drag a window in Photoshop the tool I am using turns into a standard arrow cursor and I cannot work on the image unless I close it and re-open it. Even then, if I drag the window again, it does the same thing. Needless to say I have put photshop in the exclusiion list. Internet explorer also has problems displaying text and many images only when Windows Blinds is active. Considering that I'm doing images for the web, I use mainly Photoshop and Internet Explorer on t
