Thanks red - Everything you say makes sense. Which leads to the next logical thought. When I get on the airplane with no internet connection, will I be able to launch those games. Sure that question has been asked before, have to do some looking around. Thanks again.

May not be the place to ask but here goes. Have GCIII on my home desktop computer. I am going traveling with a new laptop soon. From a license point of view, is it ok to load GCIII on a second computer. Trying to play by the rules here. Naturally I have a steam account, so that has to go on the laptop. Going to be doing the same thing with Civilization V BNW, so same logic would apply. Is it just a case of only have one copy running at one time which would not be an issue. Don't want to s

Thank you for your reply. I do understand the logic. I looked back at saved games 20 turns apart. My planet influence grew. I was doing nothing but build star bases with culture modules around planets for those twenty turns (and many turns before that). My percent of victory condition dropped from 75% to 64%. Something is changing over that time. Below is the influence graph for 100 turns. Shouldn't there be some change reflected on the graph? Am I just missing something here? &nb

I see what you (both) are saying, it's the percent of the victory condition not the percent of influence I have. So why is the graph flat lined for all the players, all straight lines for the last 60 turns or so?

First and most important I am enjoying the game immensely, well done. I am around turn 500. Under the Victory Tab, I click on Influence Victory. The button on the left states I have 64% at this time. The window that opens states I need 76% to win which I believe agrees with the manual. Also in the window now open it states I need 21% more to win. Obviously, 64% plus 21% is more than the

Thank you. Let me jump on a specific item. I read in a strategy guide that your approval rating was unimportant in the early game. The logic was since you are a dictator, it did not matter. Apparently that is not true.

I just don't get it. Every game (normal setting) I fall so far behind in tech and ships all I get are threats followed eventually by war, lose all my starbases which I can not defend and generally get clobbered. So I finally start a game in a good location, colonize three good planets, grab a couple of resources and end up in an unending spiral of debt. No matter how I adjust the sliders I just go farther in debt. To add insult one of my planets breaks away and suddenly I have 10,000 in the trea

Just purchased, installed and updated the GalCiv2. I am on my first game. I had the option to build Economic Capital and Manufacturing Capital. Started and finished the Economic Capital on my home planet. Later on I went to build the Manufacturing Capital on a different planet but that option is no longer present. I did note that (from the planet surface screen) I could build Xinathium Hull Plating which is for ships. Not sure if the two observations are related. If a known issue, thank

I have purchased at retail and installed GalCiv II. Long ago I purchased and registered GalCiv I. I launched Stardock to register GalCiv II. When attempting to register the game I was repeatedly told I had an invalid serial number. I was using my new email address. I had registered GalCiv I using my old email address. I attemped to register GalCiv II using the same serial number (which I was told was invalid) and using my old email address and this time it worked. Kind

A Request: I had a prison established on my homeworld (by vote of the council) The prisoners escaped and stole ships. The stolen ships now appear next to my homeworld. The problem is these ships are far more advanced than anything I can build. (Stated differetly, the technology needed to build these ships is far in advance of my current technology). My request would be that for this event only ships of a currently available technology be used. Thanks

Event: "Minor race X has stolen technology from major race Y and they (X) are willing to trade the technology for habitable world(s)." When I go to the Minor Race screen, I can not trade with X because they are not listed (I have not met them yet).

As a casual player, I am suggesting items which would enhance the game as it currently stands. First, a big thanks for the level of customer support! Good job supporting a superb game. I have not read through this entire post (I'd rather play than read) and the items below may have already been mentioned: 1. The ability to zoom out on the F1 map. 2. A listing of planets (in the right window) which I have explored but remain uncolonized (at least the last time

My Advance Logic, Inc. ALS4000 sound card appears to lock up the game at the screen (looks like a portal/doorway) just after choosing start game. Disabling the sound card cures the lock up. Anyone run into this problem? Any Suggestions? Yes, I have the most up to date drivers. Thanking you in advance.
