A feature I would like to see would be temporary planet/asteroid gravity well mergings. For example two or more planets/asteroids come close enough together that they create a single gravity well during their normal orbits.
Hello, to fix this issue with the G15 you'll need to update the bios to 3.12 or higher and freshly install your 6800M drivers after its updated. this is a common problem with the G15 and 6800M at the moment that affects other games as well. make sure you use DDU or AMD cleanup utility when uninstalling drivers. IF your unsure on how to do this ASUS support can help you through it, i hope this fixes yo
Hey Michael thanks for the save file. I loaded up the save and had the fleet jump but wasn't able to reproduce the crash. Can you think of anything else you might be doing that could help nail down why a crash is happening? Are you zooming into a specific ship? Are you looking at a specific thing when you're focused in? Any other actions you're doing at the moment of crash?
So I focus on a capitol ship w

Actually I'm having a hard time finding my saved game. I see the saved game folder, but there are no files in there earlier than November of last year. Where do I find the saved games now?

26 Replies 56,626 Views
Yes it does, but not much. I was curious enough to edit the files and make them free, and use fewer slots. If you have 100+ of them, you can trim total research for everything down from about 5 hour to 3.5 hours. So.... not worth it.
Excellent. Thanks!
Can you get the save file for where you're crashing? We can try loading it up and seeing if we crash as well. Might be specific to hardware, your save would give us a jumping off point to test.
Yeah let me recreate it and post it here. It'll be a few days as I don't know which file it is anymore.
Having extra research stations speeds up research. However, in my experience, most games are over long before that would make a difference, simply because much of the research can be skipped. For example, with the logarithmic function limiting income, it can take a really long time to repay the investment into "immense cargo holds". If you think the game isn't going to last forever, skip it.
</p

Is anyone looking for open games? I haven't seen anyone in the queue since this launched. I started a game and waiting 20 minutes and nobody joined. Wondering if anyone is actually playing.
Thank you for the detailed feedback. Here are some answers/suggestion to some of your questions: The reinforce fleet can be done in multiple ways. The typical way is to select a specific set of factories or planets that have factories and right click the focus planet (or the fleet there). This sets a "rally" point so that all produced ships will go there. I typically rally to my flagship in that fleet so if it moves the rallied
That is the behavior they do now. The fighters/bombers have been way improved. The fighters seem to target other fighters then go after other ships if they run out of enemies. Bombers go after larger ships. And they switch targets smoothly (a vast improvement over Sins1) instead of just standing around thinking about whom to attack next.
Yes I do see that, but I would rather they have s

I guess that's a good question. I Remember them docking and not being selectable after that in Sins 1. I feel that they should prioritize either other fighters (if they are fighters) or capitol ships (if bombers). If I put them in a fleet I feel that they are just like other ships and don't add much value. I'd rather them have AI options (attack ship type xyz, provide support, etc...), but not be able to be part of a fleet with other ships. Maybe as a feet of onl

I noticed that my culture was not spreading correctly after I took over planets. I eliminated one team and their culture was still connecting their planets that I owned and each planets description said they were still the dominant culture. I then eliminated everyone and owned all planets. The other players culture was still dominant on their planets until I built broadcast centers on each planet that had a phase lane a different color. However, my culture only sprea
