Is the fact that the Altarians' diplomatic stance seems to turn on a dime a bug, a feature or what? I am utterly baffled during the campaign when they and I get along great, trade technology and ships and, lo and behold, they declare war the following turn (from friendly a relationship) and it's game over. :notsure: This happened in scenario 1 several times (I figured my progress against evil was too slow) but now it happens in scenario 2 as well. I trade with them, I have maxxed trade routes

My Labour Unrest event indeed was a crasher because of a space in its fileIDname. I erased it from the Library database and did not post it again so as not to confuse users, who might wonder which version they had or whether the Library one was fixed or not. I also think the 1man event (not one of mine) or a similar title also was a crasher because its fileIDname led off with a number, which we discovered the engine coding did not allow. Otherwise I think the Library events as they are all wo
Thx for pointing out the expansion teaser Hawaii50. We'll see what they mean by it when Stardock releases it. Keeping my fingers crossed! :d
Thx Duglis, I like yours too in general! I am not as keen on your humorous ones, not cause they're bad, but because they jar with the spell of history-changing megolamania I fall under when I play. ;) I have a few new one coming up, provided they are accepted by Stardock. I try to come up with somewhat believable issues (I had one refused for I guess not being rated G, yet another for no reason I could see) (Hey this is not dig at Stardock, it's their game and they can certainly co
Similarly, curious about any feedback about my library submissions. I like them, cause I,m biased, and use them in my games but would appreciate comments, positive or negative. thx!
Just wanted to reiterate my mea culpa. I had submitted the Labour Unrest Mod that crashed when the UP convened...LabourUnrest was required in its title, not Labour Unrest. And since it did not crash UNTIL the UP convened, I thought the game ran fine with it when I first loaded it... My apologies again and I welcome being moderated!
Apparently the fix is simply to rename it from Labour Unrest to LabourUnrest...hmmm. If it does work and anyone is interested in having the event reposted, let me know in this post and I will repost.
Please make sticky for a while. I submitted an event titled Labour Unrest, which I have just now withdrawn from the library since it crashes the game. I have examined, and reexamined it many times and I cannot find what causes it not to work but I would encourage you to delete it from your game directory if you have downloaded it. I apologize for the aggravation. Sorry guys and girls. :sniff!:
I agree with you Duglis. I submitted the Labour Unrest event and for some unknown reason it crashes the game whenever the United Planets first convene. I am all for delteing it and am on my way to do this. Sorry for the inconvenience but I cannot find what is wrong with the coding. Any thoughts?
Ever since I uploaded to this latest build, my game crashes every time the UP convenes for the first time. In a previous save game (before the upgrade), the UP jad already convened and now this old save game will not load. The loader goes to 100% and then sends me back to desktop.
My 2 cents. I really enjoy the game and congratulate the team for continuous support to its customers. In terms of improvements or additions, I would echo several previous suggestions: 1 - Toning down(or adjusting) or random events so as to affect but not dominate play. Similarly, minor races should preferably have minor effects and not dominate the galaxy on lower levels of difficulty. 2 - Additional still scenes for important society or galaxy events, such as the sur
I do not know if the minors need a difficulty level but they certainly do not play by the rules. They easily have planets with 15billion people, 100% morale, and their technology trees are a century ahead ofe veryone. I too have now had two games where minors became the dominant power and no doubt would have won if the game allowed it. I find minor are really the enemy to watch for, nor the normal races.
A whole lot of races I encounter are at war with the Belua, which I must admit I have never seen...as far as I can tell, they are not a minor race. What the heck are they and why does evryone hate them??? :)
