Found one..i'll use Hawaii's format: FILE: \Data\coreevents.event ISSUE: The Earthworms event doesn't degrade the planet quality when choosing the good option. REMEDY: I think this is a bug because I couldn't get it to work on other events either.. Just to be sure maybe someone can test this event too..

"c) I don't understand what you mean by "I've also noticed that percentages are only used on colonization events and NOT random events". I'm pretty sure they do. Could you elaborate?" Well just by observing the CoreEvents.EVENT file, all colonization events are applied with a percentage attached, while random events do not. For example "%s%% Research bonus" would be in the game "20% Research bonus" while as a random event no percentage is attached, so it's just "%s Research bonus" and "

Couple of things.. -Fixed it so that the Research bonus actually works, I mistakingly had it applying a bonus to defense I think. -Mistakingly applied an attribute to the good option when none was necessary, both the attribute and the option fields are now at 0.

Jeff George - I took another look at the updated Water Aliens event and tested it 6 times, both in windowed and fullscreen modes and choosing the good/neutral/evil options and got no crashes. This is with 1.03.54, perhaps updating will solve the problem?

Actually you can do this by just changing the GoodOptStr01 to 9 instead of 11, and vice versa. I think I can get it to work for positive values but negative values for the evil option always go positive. This may be entirely different for random events as they are harder to test. To sum up, 11 always generates negative numbers, 10 is either totally random or it's set by whatever number(negative/positive) you give it and then randomizes the number, and of course 9 always gives positive n

HawaiiFive-0 - Thank you for the kind comments. About the Hostile Aliens event. This was way back when the game first came out and I didn't know anything about these event files and this was more of an experiment. I took your advice and fixed the file, should be updated now. About the Lifeform event, yes I forgot to change this event to a random event and it has been updated. Hoping to see your event writer soon, that's certainly going to help me as well as the rest of

I really didn't think it was necessary to ask permission to do so. I'm not making a profit from it nor is anyone else and you are already free to use it as your wallpaper so using them in game seems pretty harmless. Now of course if the artist complains they should be taken down but I don't think I would worry too much about this. I recently updated the events to give proper credit to the artists and where to find the pictures in the readme file.

I was pumping upwards of 1000bc into destablizing the Yor who were dominant in one of my galaxies and it SEEMS to have really hurt their economy as they dropped from #1 to #3 and became an even match for the rest of the civs. However this may be due to something else entirely..just my expierence with using it.. Would like to know and see a more detailed report of what exactly its doing.

I hope everyone is enjoying the events I've made and would like to use this post for any comments/suggestions/problems anyone may have with any of the events. I've tested the events as colonization events to make sure they worked but as most of them are random events they may turn out unfair/unbalanced/buggy. And hopefully with your feedback I can tweak these events more properly and make them as unique and fun as possible. Thank you.
