I have exactly the same issue playing with my friend. Regardless of whether we play via LAN or Internet, we get a sync error after a few minutes. For that reason, the game is not playable for both of us at the moment ... We both play on Windows 11 using Steam. We were also connected to the Internet with a LAN cable.
