I've found some of the backgrounds being used for the maps (particularly the nebula background) to make reading the map very difficult. The game was clearly designed to be played against a black/dark background and certain elements, such as phase lanes, are near impossible to see with the lighter backgrounds. I think that UI elements either need to change according to the background to increase visibility or you should be able to select the background in the settings.

Thirding this! I tried holding position with the Halcyon Carrier at the edge of a gravity well and the strike craft abandoned the enemies and returned to its side. The only way I could get around this was to set a bunch of waypoints for the Carrier while the strike craft went around the gravity well and attacked. But that is far too much micro during intense battles.

I've been playing as the Advent and have discovered on multiple occasions that my culture will not dominate enemy AI occupied worlds. It works fine on minor factions, but I cannot get it to work on planets that are occupied by a player. In my screenshot below, I have culture coming from two neighboring phase lanes and have used proselytize on a planet (with no broadcast center) and my culture will not begin to dominate the planet. This is a huge issue as it renders the Advent's Conversion mec

Issue resolved! After reading the feedback on my Psi Power post, I decided to investigate the UI symbols around each planet's picture. There is one for culture that details the rate of culture generation and culture associated benefits. I do think a single line for the culture rate would be useful for the info card that pops up on each planet, but the information is accessible.

Thank you! I didn't realize that each ship had an in-depth breakdown of weapons/defense/abilities next to their picture. Looking at that helps clear a lot of things up. It also illuminates the Psi Power calculations. It appears that when upgrading an ability, the purple number is the amount improved per Psi Power. And when hovering over the chosen ability, it's already displaying the calculated increase. It seems like all the information is there, just not in the most intuitive location.

I've discovered that there is no display anywhere about the current culture rate being produced on a planet. With the addition of planetary upgrades, this makes it very difficult to calculate the rate of culture spreading through phase lanes and determine whether investing in more orbital structures is cost effective. This is particularly important with the Advent, who rely on culture spread for many of their abilities.

I definitely agree on the orbital mining feeling useless/redundant. Particularly as the Advent, it is unlocked so late in the game that I already have a stable economy going by the time I am able to build them. Furthermore, on small planets such as asteroids, building these structures takes up valuable civilian logistic slots that could be dedicated to Culture and Unity production.

So I've been playing as the Advent for several hours now and I don't fully understand how Psi power works. I understand that it is a resource that can be accumulated by ships to increase their ability power. However, there is no information displayed regarding how much Psi power a ship currently has and how it will increase each abilities. Are there plans to add this information into the ship windows?
