I'm gonna have to go with Ruby on this one. If you think a fleet of 6 caps is a good idea or think you regularly get 100 cred/sec while on the flank vs decent enemies... something's wrong. Play against some newer players for a few more games to learn the game a little better before trying to venture into skilled games.
If you've truly " had this game since release; Ive always played online" then the multiplayer regulars should recognize you if you tell them which names you used to go by; if you were decent they surely know you and would let you play.
