To put it into perspective - I literally recorded the video, uploaded the video, wrote this post and my fleet are still traveling to the other system while vesari are not only reached minutes ago but already traveled 6 planets deep. If you already have ability of infinite phase gates and insanely fast travel speed, how is it balanced for anyone else? They should have lowest HP ships - instead they get ridiculous armor. My starting spot ended up with 5 asteroids and an Irradiated Planet with 2 planets being volcanic. I had no Crystals except for 1 asteroid even my starting planet only had 1 crystal orbital mine. This means I had a choice of either getting resource or tech up but not both. The Transport Cabal minor faction currently has a hard limit of 3 r phase gates regardless of the number of planets. This really makes it really inefficient in big maps with 50+ planets. I suggest instead it should be 1 gate per 10 planets on the map. That way it will be better balanced for bigger maps and give races like TEC and Advent a fighting chance when their fleet is like 10 jumps away
Does this update include fix to Point Defense being useless against a missile swarm? Also Guarda Level 2 being next to useless for TEC - not being able to handle missiles or strike craft.
I have no tried the Test branch While that is good to hear there has some some modification- that really doesn't solve the other issues. The Strike Craft should have been fast enough to avoid the missiles but they also died to the missile spam. They barely dented the health of the ships. I made a fleet of 32 Shuriken Strike Craft 20 Gaurada Flak Frigates 20 - Guass Frigates 3 - Capital Ships and it lost to 30 Vesari Missile Ships. Not only did the 30 Vesari Missile ships insta kill my capital ships before they could turn around and escape. The Guarda Flak Frigates could not destroy a SINGLE Missile The Missile Ships which are supposd to have slow tracking killed my 32 Strik
