Getting rid of everything, and I mean everything, related to the game worked for that problem. Now it won't load, and the info for the icons (ex: New Game, Continue Game, Load) won't appear. Looking up the problem, trying to find solutions. If anybody knows the problem I've attempted to describe, some assistance would be useful.
I've seen that suggested before. Looked for it. Looked for anything close to it. Nothing. I've just decided to uninstall the whole thing, and download again, see if that makes a difference.

I've encountered the same problem. Is there any method of making the game go back to fullscreen without being able to click on any of the icons, such as options?
Just tried something else. I can start a new game, however, it'll still shut down after about an hour.
I've been having difficulty running Galactic Civilizations ll Ultimate Edition on Windows Eight. A day ago, it was working for about an hour before it'd shut down. Now, it won't even finish loading a save file before it shuts down. I've attempted to use compatibility mode to fix the problem, changing the settings, and whatnot, but none of it works. Any tips?
