So under Miscellaneous Options you can change the font and font size of the text that appears above each icon but what about font color? is this option burried somewhere? I mean the default white is not always optional if you have a white background. I just have the basic ObjectDock that comes with ObjectDesktop. Thanks.

So I have totally customized my desktop with a wallpaper, fences, windowsblinds, and object dock. I go into theme manager to save the whole thing but the only items it gives as an option are the wallpaper and windowsblind. wtf? That's not a theme and that's not anything that Windowsblinds can't do all by itself. Is there a way to save your whole desktop/OS? Would that be considered a suite and if so how do you create one? Thanks.
So, I'm using this theme https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/desktopx_themes/3512/ but as you can ee from the picture some of the graphics seem to be messed up on the start menu. IS this because it was made for XP and I'm running Vista? Is it because I have a widescreen monitor? Is there a way to fix it? I'm also having issues with some object docks. Will docks designed for tabs
So what I'm wondering is, is there anyway to bust open a .desktop file and extract the individual elements from it? Then only load the things you want; widgets, wallpaper, etc.
Quoting udderjuice, reply 245 Figured it out. The "Hide Windows Taskbar" option in Object Dock Settings. I have to say, this zipcode issue renders 90% of the stuff on this site unusable to the average end-user. Not good... You can use zipcodes in my new widgets.
LOL. Can you make me a Halo Reach desktop suite wit

Thanks for the reply, maybe you can help me with my NEW problem. You seem to have created a lot of content on this site. I was loading this theme https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/desktopx_themes/3512/ when the zip code issue occured. I did exactly what you said and killed DesktopX in the Task Manager. Well, something in the theme made my task bar completely disapear. Its not bee
I see this thread is nearly a year old. Well I just bought the Object Desktop suite and I am currently downloading DesktopX widgets and themes that contain broken weather widgets. Its VERY annoying to a newbie to encounter these issues especially since this particular issue results in an infinite loop of error message click-throughs that you can't cancel out of. In some cases the theme removes your taskbar so you can't even shut down DesktopX. Broken widgets should b
This particular skin is called BlackFox by zigboom here's my "About WindowBlinds" report. Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 5.4 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 5.9 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.1 (build 273 x86 - Vista Edition) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC (Dell ST2210(Digital)) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Wblind.dll&n
I'm pretty new to all this but am having a great time with Windows Blinds and skins made by people with more talent and time than I have. One thing I've noticed is after I apply many of the skins that are out there, they look great accept for a few graphics that seems to be missing and are replaced with solid purple color. In particular the center of the vertical scroll bar and a few other parts of internet explorer. Like this: <img src="http://i41.photobucket.co
Ok, I got a new question. Say you download a skin but its a kind of dark skin with dark grey window frames. Say you wanted to make it a metalic blue color. Is there any easy way to adjust colors or do you have to actually edit the individual graphic pieces? Thanks.
Well, here's a quick folow up. Apparently in the Tron Legacy skin, changing the System Color: Menu value changes the toolbar menu color AND the color of the pull down menus in IE. And even more odd, it changed the color but not to the color I selected. I could swear on another skin it only changed toolbar menus. So let me ask another question. Do the names of those items vary from skin to skin depending on the skin creator or are they standard from skin to sk
I'm running IE 8 and Windows Vista Home eddition. I'm currently running the Tron Legacy Windows Blind. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/all/search/Tron+Legacy The Home, Print, Page and other pull down menus on the right side of IE have a black background and none of the options in the menu can be seen until you mouse over and then the custom graphic and text is visible. I just don't understand why pretty much every skin I try, the pull down menus (Print, Page, Etc.) for any internet browser I use, (IE or Google Chrome) are black and the text is unreadable until you mouse over the selection. This is a huge problem I can't believe hasn't been addressed.
Thanks for the reply. I'm leaning heavily towards getting the full-blown Object Desktop software. Just have to justiy the $50 purchase to the wife... [e digicons]:|[/e]
Hello everyone! I am new to this whole skinning Windows and using custom themes thing. So far Windows Blinds seems really cool. I just have one issue that is really bugging me. Text colors. Some of the themes change my taskbar and application pulldown menus to colors that are almost identical to the text colors. I've played around with the options in Windows Blinds under the colors tab and change skin system colors. I was able to track down the me
