That D drive is probably a partition on your 1 hard drive.You just want to format the drive and erase that partition.With all the new hardware that recovery wont be any good to you.To flash a bios is basicly updating your firmware.If you have never done it I would suggest not flashing your bios as it can really screw up your system if you don't do it just right. Congrats on building your first computer you will be happy with what you got and have saved some money to boot.
