I think even a single new DG would do wonders for the game. The people who'd gotten frustrated with early connectivity problems might load the game up again to check it out and find out connectivity is dramatically improved while they're at it.
It is also what i think, but two new demigods seems like a wiser idea if the decs don't want to see endless whinning about the fact that one side has 5 demigods and the other 4. I would like to have more informations abo
Now most of the bugs are gone you are funny
compared to the release, yes. There are still a lot of bugs that have to be fixed ASAP, but at least the connectivity is ok and many other bugs are fixed.
micro patches are good when you have to fix big bugs that are discovered at the release and you do not want your community to think that you will do nothing about them. But it is not really effective, when you release a new version, intensive testing is needed, and you can't do that if you patch the game every day. Now most of the bugs are gone and the devs are concentrating on the addition of new features, so the most effective way to go is to release big patches instead of micro pat
I haven't tried with h, but as far as i know you can't self target yourself automaticly in any way... It is one of those features that need to be added
If i remember well, the devs worked on something very similar but weren't able to finish it for the release. I hope we will see it soon.
and if you use an azety keyboard, it is also painfull. They have to change that...
They are going to, the demo will be based on the 1.1, and the 1.1 is currently tested by stardock, so it will arrive soonish.
I have in my hands a release candidate from Gas Powered Games for v1.1.
Yes!
The demo version of Demigod is also in our hands based on this same code
Cool, that will hopefully allow Demigod to boost it's community. Any news on the new demigods?? If i remember well they were initially planned for the 2 monthes following the launch...
It depends of the map and the number of players but XP rank 1, Gold rank 1 and building health rank 1 are all very good investments in my opinion.
Oak is just overpowered
no, he isn't.
his attack and movement speed are too fast
no, they aren't.
if anyone tries to use a skill he just interrupts or makes himself invincible = bullshit
many demigods can interupt and his invincibility just last for a few seconds and has a very long cooldown, you have to use this to your advantage.
Oak should be a SUPPORT and DEFENSIVE character.
Why is that? So
) Too much Stunn in the game; there's just too much stunn going on, get 2 demigods on you at a higher level your as good as dead, won't move at all, just stunned all the time. The Rook is greatly underpowered at higher levels compared a few of the demigods, Unclean Beast, Lord Erebus and the Oak need to be balanced a bit down. Lord Erebus HP is insane plus he can move in and out at will.
Never engage a fight when you are outnumbered. Many players make that mistake and t
people who die should not give much gold but should instead lose gold.
That wouldn't solve entirely the problem of rage quitting, but that would help a lot.
I personally like the award system, it ensures there is a set amount of favor points in a given game.
Interesting, i wasn't seeing things like that. Still, if you want to have a set amount of favor points per game, distributing points via the ratios of kills/deaths/..... would be a better implementation imo.
I hope it gets put on Impulse when it comes out...
we can't know, stardock is not the publisher, square enix is. So maybe it will be on impulse but it could as well be on steam (like the last square enix game) or even not be downloadable.
the game itself is pretty good, the devs has been able to make a variation on the principe of dota and not just make a clone of that mod. But it has also had a lot of problems, most of them are gone now and the devs seem to be working hard to solve those that remain. The next update is meant to solve all of the netcode problems, i doubt it will but the connectivity should be at least decent.
The favor point attibution system doesn't make sense to me. You should receive favor each time you kill/cap flags/buy at the citadel/kill x renforcements/.... I don't see why they opted for the system we have.
The demo will be the crucial point. And sending mails to all the players when ALL the problems are solved to make those that don't play anymore come back would also help. It is up to them, but i fear that gpg has other things to do (i think they are focusing a maximum of devs on supcom2, it must be a very important project for them). You really can't tell at this point...
Agreed. Many games end without a player on both sides because the losing side leaves. That is unfair for many winning teams
They should add a trigger: if at 5 (or 10, they have the stats, not me^^) minutes there are still players on each sides, then the favor points are recorded. This way they still prevent abuses but you don't have to suffer from it. The conceide button will probably solve that problem anyway, they just have to add it ASAP.
yes it does cheat a lot on hard, especially on some fights like the last one that is really cheesy. You can't win some of those matches, but you can still be the one that gains the more favor points, and that is all that matters.
its a pain in the ass when people are uploading/downloading whilst the game is running and dont even bother to check when you tell them to.
It would be nice if the devs could come up with a way to give an other indicator than the ping. Something more accurate, the method is not important, just give a grade between 0 and 10. The reason for this: many people think that the ping is everything, and don't know shit about connections. I regularly see people with a ping of 200
Servers had issues last night. This was the reason it froze. Next time, wait (can take up to 2-3 minutes). It will unfreeze.
i am curious: can these issues affect the matches? Maybe only when the game try to communicate the outcome of a match to the server?
if one person in ur match has lagg, all have lagg
This. If someone has limitations (bandwith or cpu) it will drag down all the other players, you can't play at speed=1 for 5 players and have the sixth one at speed=-3 without desync problem, ergo your problems.
it is weird, maybe someone just had a really low sim speed and so the game froze when there was a lot of units around the citadel. The stats are updated only once a day, so maybe you will have to wait a little to see the outcome on records. I can't see my yesterday matches either.
i have mainly played with her, and her heal is fine. She does really less damages than any other demigod, her only attack move doesn't do a lot of damages (however i have to admit that the cooldown is not really high but it is her only attack) and she only strikes at close range and doesn't do a lot of damages (unless you stack attack items and artefacts on her, but any demigod does a lot of damages in these conditions). So yes, she is a pretty good healer, but if you are good (and yo
