I think I have solved the problem, it looks like that when you install v5, V4 is not properly uninstalled. I had to uninstall V5, V4 and use the purge twice in raw, and then reinstall V5, and now V5 can keep the layout after a reboot.

[quote who="basj" reply="3" id="3939512"] That show you have not done any of it yet, great, moving forward. First, please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [ Link ]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here. Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community

So because I have an issue with 5.80, I was told to try 5.81 Beta, but unfortunately, I am still experiencing the same problem : after a reboot, the configuration is lost, and restoring a backup has no effect, and yes multi-monitor is activated. It was working flawlessly before the update from Fences 4. <img src="http

I don't want to be rude but FFS have you read my messages, it is activated on my laptop since I have been asked to follow the troubleshooting, but it has 0 effect, if I try to restore a backup, it restores partially the Fences, and icônes are not put back in their dedicated Fence. I have V5 at work, and it's a mess, I home I haven't upgraded yet, and everything is working as intended. Now serious question, is there any log that we could provide you to try to debug this? Can you
[quote who="Jagio" reply="56" id="3939189"] In 5.80 I still have this issue: Run a program in a different screen resolution ( e.g. from1920x1080 to 800x600) and ending that program will return Fences, but inside all the icons are in a random order (or whatever order they are, it is not an alphabetic order or so...). The only thing I can do than is to restore a snapshot. (and that was also a surprise finding it where it went, but others already mentioned that) I hoped
This is what is mentioned in the troubleshooting, and what I have setup, and it doesn't not work for me.
Hi Basj I have configure Fences exactly like describe in the troubleshooting help, and I have the exact same issue, and today it was even worth, I have lost my configuration just when my computer went in sleep mode. I also confirm that restore is not working for me, it does nothing. I have 2 monitors connected through a hub connected to a usb-c port on my computer, but in DVI on monitor side. All my Fences are only on one monitor, the 1st one. No Fences nor icône
Windows 11 Enterprise Version 10.0.22631 Buid 22631 Fences 5.80 Since my update from 4 to 5 last week. I have a lot of problem with the layout. Every morning or when I reboot my computer, my layout is lost, some Fences are still there but at least 4 of them are missing, and my icons are messed up. But worse than that, restore is not working. I can clearly see from the picture of the restore that this is my backup layout, but doing a restore has no effect, and this is r
