cool that yours work without the compatibility trick. My weather gadgets work but they stay at the location I had put in when I made them. They also open at a friends computer but the same location is stuck there, can't change them. Thought there was a way to fix this, I'll keep searching. At least all the other gadgets work.

Ok, Eureka, I got them to work with the compatibility thing. Thanks. 2 things aren't quite right. First for the weather gadgets, I got them to open but I can't seem to change the weather location. I tried zip code, city name and weather id code. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? Second, I get them to open, but if I copy them into a different folder, they don't open anymore, I have to redo the compatibility thing. Any help is appreciated.
I made alot of widgets in the past when I was on windows xp. But now on windows 7 and 8, none of the widgets or even the gadgets work. So I wanted to know if there is a way to get them back working again. Would buying the DesktopX 4 help? I tried widgets done by others and none work. Thanks for any help. Someone replied that theirs work fine on win8 so there has to be a way for mine to work. What I mean by they don't work, is just that none of them open, I just get an error message that t
Hi, since we have windows 7 and 8 now, do the old widgets and gadgets like clocks and weather and media players not work at all anymore? None of the gadgets or widgets I made function on windows 7. Is there a way to get them to work again? thanks for your help.
Hi, I haven't been around in awhile. The old widgets (weather, clocks, etc) don't seem to work anymore on windows 7 or 8. Is there any way to fix this? thanks for your time and help
I'm having the same problem, can't see the totals column. Neither can I see the skins list as thumbnails. Using IE8
Ok thank you. Will it be coming back?
Hi, my question is that before when I clicked on MySkins list, I had the choice between seeing the tiles (thumbnails) or just the titles. That choice is not there anymore. Is it a problem on my side or has this changed on the site? Thanks for the help. Doubird
Thanks to all replies. I might take redneck's offer. [e digicons]:)[/e]

Hi, I'm looking for a tutorial or script that will just change an object from one color to another. I have a row of tiny red squares on each side of my widget that are red and I would like to make them just flash from red to grey, i guess at normal speed that would be like flashing lights. Thanks for your help and time.
Thank you so much for the pick. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Island Dog . Thank you for the information and all the good work. [e digicons][/e]
Hi, I like the new layout of the site. My question is, before I could click on My skins and have the list of all my skins which I could see if I had comments. The only way to see if I have any comments is to check each skin one by one. Maybe I haven't found the right place or this does not exist anymore. Let me know. If it doesn't exist anymore, it would be nice to have it incorporated in the new layouts. Thanks.
Thank you for the pick. Congratulations to everyone. :CONGRAT:
Can Win7 be causing any problems using widgets Someone download my clock called SolarSun and said (As the seconds ring moves, the clock moves around my <a class="iAs" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: darkgreen 0.2em solid; padding-bottom: 1px !important; background-color: transparent !important; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; color: darkgreen !important; font-size: 100% !important; font-weight: normal !important; text-decoration: underline !important; padding-top: 0px;" h
Hi Murex again... I just put together a clock with the same canvas size for all images, and tried to set the parent child relationships myself, I could send it to you if you like. What I did notice is that when i set the parent for the Center to the clock face, the center button seems to go under the clock hands, and I tried the Z order (move to top) but it does not work. I have a feeling other things are not quite right. So let me know if you want me to send you the clock.
Murex, If it would be easier, I made an example clock with the same canvas size for the clock face, hands and center. Would it be easier for you if I sent you the images and you put the child, parent relations and I could see how it should be? thanks.
Murex, I believe i am starting to understand more. Not sure I understand completely the child/children you mention. So if I make a clock using the same canvas size (that I understand), then, what I understand is: Right click on Center and set parent to Clock back, then click the hands and set their parent to the Center. I hope i understood this, don't want to take up too much of your time. For grouping, may I choose the option Normal, because the other option does change the parent/ch
Forgot to mention she is running vista 32bits.
Murex, thank you. I will check out what you said about the parent child relations. I usually highlight the hour/minute/second/center and set parent to the clockface, but when I group the objects (default being Optimized, generate parent/child relationships) the order most times changes. I believe that is my big problem. Is is ok if I group and use the first option which is (Normal)? I believe that would not change anything around. Do I have to group? If not, what will that do? Thanks<
Someone downloaded one of my clocks ant the time is an hour behind what her actual time is (eastern). I thought the clocks automatically detect their time. If not, is there some way to fix this? The clock she mentions is OctoClock2 . Also has some clocks that the hands do not show. The only thing I can think of is missing .dll files in the SDplugins folder.
Milksama, Thank you again for your time and help. I will check out the documentation. [e digicons]|-)[/e] Trudy
