It's p2p. I am from the UK and I have no lag problems playing with people from the U.S.A or Europe... only games I get high pings on are the aussie ones, so I avoid them.
Agreed. I live in the widwest US and get decent 150-200ms pings to EU hosted games

What about a rolling karma system? Something where you get +1/-1 for winning/losing (or some type of distribution system) but it only takes into account the last 20 games you've played, or last 3 months? so if you finish all your games without quitting, you have this perfect karma, but if you need to quit or ragequit, your karma goes down. With the system being rolling, it doesn't punish players who occasionally need to leave games for real reasons. Event

You know, This post is great, educational while being informative! this coupled with some of the other posts explaining the differnce between sim speed and ping were great reminders for me (i haven't played online PC games since starcraft... I play single player on the PC and multi on Xbox360. That is, until Demigod) I saw this the other day, and I thought that this must be what Stardocks offices are li
Anything green and under 300 is playable in my experience. Anything green and under 250 is great, anything green and under 400 is playable, but not optimal, anything not green is pretty much not worth playing with, and anything over 400 can lead to a fairly unenjoyable experience at times.
I agree with this. I also thought that ZehDon's post was quite helpful and straightforward explaination of what a 'pin
Horrific idea, not much to discuss. Okay then... I guess it wouldnt be much fun. What about 3 lives max?
I got a good laugh out of that... Anyway I think something like that would be just as bad, as you could focus on the one demigod, take them out of the game, and then stage a multiple pathway attack. Since the other demigod can only be one place at a time, I think it would be just as inba

This could potentially work, maybe adjust it so that you can also suck life back out of your own towers as well? This way you loaning health to your tower, but if you need it you can suck it back up, which would use mana to do. I dunno, I could see the possibility at least
The problem with taking the moral ground like this is that it doesn't work. I mean, look at MP3 downloads. The entire MP3 format is popular because people were pirating music on Napster. People do it today via torrents and 5 years from now it'll be another distribution format. Most everyone downloads music and these same people would never steal a physical CD from a store shelf. But they do it with games, music or movi

I went to the car dealership the other day and just took a car home without asking anyone, just took the keys and went. I didn't understand why the dealership was so upset, I was going to buy it if I liked it!
What is this Goo that you speak of?
Correct me if I'm wrong - It's Stardocks new drm which utilizes a user instead of an IP address... basically it allows a user to buy a game and download it to all of thier own computers since the copy is not tied to a particular IP. Great for users - allows us to buy a game and use it on more than once computer, while still tying the game to the user so it isn't pirated everywhere. At least, I think this is

Just wondering if Demigod has gotten the new goo treatment. I want to put it on my laptop too (since it runs so well without a massive rig) and crush some heads down at the coffe shop.
To be honest I don't understand your example
Wish I was at home so I could post a screenshot... ok so for a planet you can get the buffs on them, either the planet just has them or you find when you explore... like an entertainment hub that increases culture spread rate or security protocal that gives you more tactical slots. There is one called Fallout, which is supposed to limit the population cap on that planet to 30. Howe

Has anyone else noticed this: When a planet has a buff (not sure if this is the right word) on it like fallout, which should limit the population to 30, the population still can be increased to maximum just like a normal planet? I had this happend to a terran world, had fallout but when I colonized I was able to upgrade it to full population/tax income. Same thing happened with an ice world. Anyone else seen this/ brought this up before? Side note:&nbsp

yes, I noticed that as well. I posted earlier about TEC flak turrets on hangars firing when they are being built. And last night, play 1v1 vs an impossible AI, I had a TEC repair platform repairing structures before it was built. should I save a file and email it in?
