That's a rather big error. Good to hear that it will be fixed in the next update, however it might be a month long wait until it's fixed. Probably best to not build the Titan for the time being if that is the case (unless you don't mind manually telling it to attack everything in the gravity well).

I think at this point the game is in at least alpha stage, might even consider beta status. The game is very much playable, it's just not complete.
I'm finding the game to be even more enjoyable than the first one. While I am disappointed that there are no minor factions to bribe to do anything (other than pirates), I am enjoying the streamlined research tree, the fleets FINALLY work (which helps organize the micro), and the graphics look pretty good too. I look forward to the finished product. One thing they do need to fix, is a warning that enemy fleets are on the way to your planet. Currently, it does inform you once they arri
That only works on lower difficulties. On higher ones the AI has gotten better and will spam their own fighters but also have fighter screens (flak ships) with them which will keep your fighters suppressed. They won't be able to spawn fast enough to overwhelm, no matter how many carriers you have. I always have a good mix of ships which can handle any situation.
I don't even have it on the test version either so I was wondering
It probably auto updated because everybodies test version got it.
The Vorastra seems underwhelming. I was surprised at the lack of firepower the ship starts off with. The "maw" weapon, while interesting, is too situational. Having to aim your ship at a group of ships and wait for it to slowly turn to face the ones you want it to target is...clunky. I find myself just disabling the ability and rarely if ever using it.
My guess would be next year sometime. This games development has been painfully slow.
Both already exist just aren't exposed in the in-game options screen. You can enable them in C:\Users\Blair\AppData\Local\sins2\settings\settings.json "input.is_edge_camera_panning_enabled": true, and "camera.is_zoom_to_cursor_enabled": false,
Ahh I did not know this. The zoom to cursor being enabled by default was particularly maddening, it will be good to disable
Whelp, there goes my weekend.
Well at the current rate of development, it feels like the game is (at a minimum) at least another year off. It's taken more than a year just to flesh out the TEC, so if it takes a years per faction then that would be another two years to go (assuming they release the Vasari this fall as scheduled). I honestly look forward to it as well, this game is already looking like it will surpass the original Sins in virtually every way, and I have almost 2,000 hours played on it since re
What? There are no Vasari anything yet.
I would suggest maybe a small tool-tip when hovering over the item or perhaps near the "refund" text? EDIT: Made the suggestion before reading the thread (sorry, didn't check back on the thread until just now). Tool-tip is perfect! Thanks guys!
I see the text saying "refund item for xxxx" but I have no idea how to refund! It's as clear as mud how to refund your ship items. I've tried left clicking, right clicking, ctrl left click, ctrl right click, shift left click, shift right click, alt left and right click, nothing works. How do you sell ship/planet upgrades to swap them out? EDIT: I think I figured it out; you have to drag the item out away from the slot to remove it. Leaving this here in case somebody els
No, in the LIVE branch this is not an issue. Double tapping works as intended to focus on the fleet.
Hey, what do you mean, that the beams do not work? If you are talking, that a starbase does not immediately have the beams, that is because you have to manually upgrade the starbase, as in sins2, it is not a default weapon.
I actually really like that feature, let's you customize the base and titans to your liking more.
Issue 1: I've noticed in the TEST version that sometimes when I tell a ship to attack another group of ships, they won't all respond to my commands. I can select a fleet and tell it to focus say a cap ship, but some of them will engage the frigates. I spam the clicks in an attempt to force the attack on the cap ship, but they still ignore me. I either have to click them to move like an inch and then re-click on my target, or have to select them in smaller groups and manually force them to att
If I have a group of ships bound to the 1 key and I double tap it, then it should zoom to the fleet. However, in the TEST version double tapping the key instead zooms to a random planet...which isn't helpful. I have to select the fleet and THEN double click on the portrait with my mouse to get it to zoom in to the fleet correctly, which is a hassel overall.

When was this supposed to be released? Or was it released already and I missed an auto update? EDIT: I'm blind, it says test edition. Wonder why Test version never said anything about an update. Oh well, something for me to "test" this weekend.
I think there was a mod for SINS that did exactly this; where the home planet had like a missile launcher upgrade or something. It was interesting, but not really game changing in the end as without a defensive force the planetary defenses were easily overwhelmed regardless.
The rotating turrets are a welcome addition. It is neat watching the turrets move around and target differnt units. I like the PD weapons too, shooting down missiles means you can't just have a few missile cruisers sniping from a distance and expect them to be guaranteed DPS (though you can overwhelm if you have enough). It adds a more realistic and fun dynamic to the game. As for the new armor and shield system, I haven't noticed the change there. What is new about the shields
Hello. I have been playing the current build of the game, and so far I like it quite a bit. I've been playing SINS since it's original release in 2008, so I'm quite familiar with the game. I have some pros and cons that are overly simplified but should at least get my points across in a general sense of how I feel so far about the game; Pros 1. Graphics engine: Game looks better than ever. The models are lovely, the animation is smooth, the planets are absolutel
