Nope, literally clean installed the game from Epic and it does this. Tried Verify too, no change. Annoyingly, I did have about 7 hours in this game not long after it launched and it ran fine then (same PC). But stopped playing as I felt it was a bit of a step down from Sins 1 and I didn't enjoy it as much. Left it a while, formatting and reinstalling my PC in the interim. Decided to give it another go as I'm sure it's had updates since, and now it won't even start. The game conspires
Windows 11 23H2. Week ago it was latest beta Insider Preview, same issue was there, installed stable version, didn't help. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI 32 GB DDR 4 NVIDIA RTX 3080 MSI All drivers up to date.
Interestingly, I also have a Gigabyte AORUS Elite X570 motherboard. Weird coincidence?

Same issue for me. Just cleanly installed from Epic store, and the game just will not launch. If I launch from the Epic launcher, it does nothing. If I launch sins2.exe directly from the folder, I get "sins2.exe - Application Error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application." I've tried the whole

One more thing, and I'm keeping these in separate posts to make it easier to reply to individual issues if needed. If you'd all prefer I throw all of this into a single post in the future, please let me know. Can this app do anything about the calendar flyout from the taskbar? Specifically, can it restore the large font time from the top of the calendar, along with the seconds counter? I really really miss this. Windows 11 <img src="h

Additionally to the above, the username shown at the bottom left seems to show the profile folder name. I use a Microsoft Account for login. Can this please show either my full Microsoft account name, or my account email address please? The truncated name used for my c:\users\... folder is just weird. In other words, like this from the native Windows 11 start menu: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/29/61/2961280/9dd9bb84-a4b0-4f64-b847-91b4f1e00fd2.png" alt=""

Hey all, great product so far thanks with lots of great potential. One bug that's, erm, bugging me... I've got mine set to Windows 11 style as I just want a list of pinned apps and not that recommended nonsense that Microsoft put at the bottom. The issue though is that Discord will not pin correctly to the Start11 start menu. It seems to get pinned as a weird generic app icon. <ul style="font-size: 16px; background-color: #141617; --darkreader-inline-bgcolor: #0

I think you've probably just not noticed that Start8 is just a wrapper for the metro interface. That's all Stardock have done here... just wrapped the Metro search panel up into a small window, they've not created a new start menu. Go to the metro start screen and launch search from the charms bar, then click on settings... what do you see? A blank list, just like here in Start8... that's because you actually have to search for something. There are far to many se

That's not going to be possible, at least not until they design a start menu from scratch. At present it just takes the metro interface and displays it in a small window, starting at the app list. Stardock cannot modify this directly, they'd have to design a new start menu from scratch. The only option is to add these things to the right click menu, which they have already started. You'll notice shutdown and run are already there.

Hi Stardock A good tool to be sure that will aid me until there are sufficient Metro apps available to avoid the legacy desktop entirely. Until then though I'd appreciate the following changes to your app: Please give me the option to NOT associate Start8 with the windows key on the keyboard. I just want to use this with the mouse, I still want the windows key to launch full screen metro as I use that for email and messenger. This needs to be an option (that

People's primary complaint about Windows 8 is getting pulled off the desktop into metro when all they want to do is launch an app from the start menu. This stardock tool negates that and only that particular complaint. Also to jpickerell I say this... if you want an OS that looks like (desktop) and functions like (start menu) Windows 7, then use Windows 7. Windows 8 Consumer Preview is here for you to test and provide feedback, not to hack and convert it back to Win
