My biggest problem with this beta is the Korath tech tree. Their entire line of beam weapon techs is completely broken, with the only fully upgradeable tech that actually nets a gun being the lasers. Particle beams is only one tech, ion beams is three (but with no actual ion beams thrown in there) disruptors is one and doom rays is, of course one. Make sure you buy an oem copy of vista, if you do in fact go with it. They cost about 300 dollars less. Also, 4 gigs of g-skill ram (which I found better than any kind of SLI ram) costs about 100 dollars. Have fun!

HOw do you destroy logistical and tactical structures to make room for new ones? I really can't figure this out. AS a result of this, by the time I research matter refineries, my planets are fulll of trading ports and other things that dtract from the goal of having huge supplies of resources (other than $$$). Any help?

funny comment innociv, but I think I have a more logical explanation. The advent are kind of like the Zerg. They are weak without their support units, but with their support units they are able to destroy any kind of fleet. What makes them easier for n00bs than the zerg were is that they can autocast their abilities. turn whenever i issue orders in Beta Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Whenever I issue an order, the game, for some reason, does a turn. In effect, it only allows me to move one ship a ture, It started maybe a little after three weeks into the game and goes away after reloading, only to return again in a single turn. I am playing challenging as a custom race, 8 opponents, immense. Thanks!
