Just wish there were more animated wallpapers as opposed to video loops. I am not willing to give up that much of my CPU continuously. The animated wallpapers are almost negligible. Also wish the Dream area would specify whether a dream is animated wallpaper or video. Some do, most don't.

One request I would make for a subsequent version is to add the option to change the default location for Dream files. If the user directory is mapped to a network share, it wants to put everything on the network. Otherwise, great Beta 1.

You can copy the soundpackage files to another location and load from there if you like. How does Soundpackager know this new location? I could not find a setting anywhere to specify where the sound packages are stored after importing them. If there is a way to change the default location, I would be most grateful

One feature request. Allow alternate location for sound package files. The default to My Documents has a downside in certain cases. For instance, the computer is on a domain. The My Documents is redirected to a network share. The network goes down. Packages not accessible anymore. Take it one, more likely, scenario further. The computer is a laptop, same network config, but you are working remotely offline from the network. A choice of where they are stored would alleviate this.

Are the blank dialogs with apps like Outlook 2007 (Rules and Alerts) on Vista fixed yet in this build? This is the same problem that was fixed with the most recent build of 5.5. I have not seen any comment on my earlier posts about this bug returning in WB6. Thanks for your time.

DadBart I had reported (along with several others) a problem in WB 5.5 not displaying certain dialogs and menus in specific applications. One of them was the Outlook 2007 Rules and Alerts dialog. It showed nothing in the dialog. This problem was reproduced in your support lab and fixed with the last update to WB 5.5. It is back as a problem in the WB6 beta release. Not sure why this is still being misse

When I select Display, Adjust the color of glass window borders, it crashes explorer.exe. This is on Vista 32bit, Business and Ultimate (tried it on 3 different systems with the same result). It never shows a subsequent dialog, clicking the link causes the crash. If I select it again after the crash recovers, it becomes a dead link.

I am running Vista Ultimate and Business versions. I tried this on both with same results. It may affect other Office 2007 apps, I haven't gone through every dialog to see. The problem - If I use any skin, even made for Vista skin, the Rules and Alerts dialog is not usable. It is just a gray box that will only show the header of a single column when I mouse over. I have to completely exclude Outlook 2007 or unload WB 5.5 for it to be visible. If I exclude, of course, Outlook looks terri

Just got around to trying this with the new dynamic dreams. Very cool and very resource friendly. Can't wait until the SDK is out so we can get some of the creative community's dynamic dreams. Too bad the default of using looping videos are not as resource friendly or performance tunable, I can not run any of them unless that is all I want my PC to do. Hovers around 50-70% all the time. I am at my normal 5-8% with the dynamic dreams set at highest quality.

I agree with most of the issues stated above, nice, but questionable at $20.00. I do have one other nagging question. I see that it will allow a free license if you have a link on your website. Their page says it will work until you take the link down. Does that mean it is communicating with a server, other than the weather server, without my knowledge? If it is, what is it communicating? If it is not, how does it stop working when the link is taken do

Can not create objects, although I admit I am not sure why that matters since I thought Widgets are stand-alone. AV is the same for all. One possible clue, as admin when launching a Widget the first time I get the XP warning that the application is not known and has a checkbox to always ask before running (I normally uncheck this so it will not ask again). I do not get that prompt with the non-admin users.

I'll try here now with this question, originally posted in DesktopX forum. Non-admin users on the PC are not able to run widgets. They crash when launched. The Widget Manager originally would not run either, I ran the permission string for the folder (the one used for WB5) and then Manager worked, but Widgets still crash. Except for Dtime which will launch without crashing, but shows no digits in the time display, just blank placeholders. Admin users c

Limited users are not able to launch widgets. I thought perhaps permissions. I applied the cacls command that fixes WB5 for limited users to the DesktopX folder, and it allowed launching widget manager after, but still not widgets. They crash with the general Send-Don't Send windows debug window. An Administrator account can launch them fine. Doesn't the userpermissions.txt line in WB apply to sub-folders as well? Or am I missing something else? TIA.<

That was the final statement of 3 witnesses at Stanley Williams' execution. I will admit I have mixed feelings about the death penalty as it currently is. That being said I have to take exception with that statement. It has been the rallying cry for thousands who were sucked in to the charisma and "gift of gab" that allowed this person to create one of the most vicious and violent gangs in history. I can't say if he was guilty or not of the specific crime this judgement was
