Sounds like an interesting book! I definitely believe in getting immediate answers for prayers. I have my own story to share. A few weeks ago I was feeling really alone and I was praying about it, asking for comfort. No sooner did I say "Amen" than my phone rang. It was a couple of friends from church. We had a wonderful conversation and I felt so much better afterwards. A few weeks later one of the girls was telling me about her experience on that day. She said they were plann

That really makes me appreciate what I have. Thanks for sharing this. It also reminds me of the days when I was supporting a family of three on the same amount of money. The very first thing I bought each payday was enough diapers and formula to last until the next payday. Thankfully those lean times lasted less than a year.

My mom always takes hers down the day after Christmas. But here in Sweden it is more traditional to take them down around the 13th of January. We took our Christmas tree down yesterday, or rather the husband did, but the rest of the decorations are still up.

Right now there is a whole ocean between me and my extended family, but they all still live in the same area, and at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even birthdays there are 5 generations there together. I miss that.

Dr. Guy, Oh those are great temps! It actually isn't all that cold here either...just gray, cloudy, and well WINTER! I need grass underneath my bare feet. I need to feel the sand between my toes. San Chonino, how about you hold Moderate Man down and I will make him eat a snowball!

Okay now that Christmas is over I am ready for summer. The Winter Blues have been knocking at my door and I've spent half of this week inviting them in for a glass of lemonade and the other half kicking their butts to the curb. I've now set out a NO TRESPASSING sign, obtained a restraining order and have told them in no uncertain terms that they are not all

Interesting question. I do this often myself. Perhaps if we admit we aren't fine then it makes it a reality.

You yell at your husband for his choice of Christmas music and rant about John Lennon being a communist. Taking a hot bubble bath to calm down only riles you up even more because the stupid razor can't seem to shave your leg without cutting a major artery. You clean the house in an hour flat and throw away any Christmas cards that dare fall on the

Oh cute! I have some of the mini pots and wooden balls in my craft cabinet that I used to make halloween pot people a few years ago might dig them out and make a snowman...What do the directions say to use for the hat and scarf? Or would you knit them yourself?

The husband and I went Christmas shopping today and I think nearly every single one of the 9 million residents of Sweden were out there with us. At one point when we were trying to find parking the husband threw his hands up in exasperation and said, "Why couldn't these people have gotten all of their shopping done before the last minute?" Then he laughed realizi

! Yup, I have been in Sweden for the past 6+ years. I was actually in Shreveport last December though. We went to see the new Boardwalk area. And of course went to the boats. I'll be heading home again this summer.

I've never had an experience like that one, but I always take a change of clothes and a few pairs of underwear in my carry-on bag. And since these new rules have been buying trial sizes of the things I need. Contact solution, etc. So it sounds like you are prepared in that respect. The only other advice that I could offer is wear and pack your favorite outfits. You could probably get 2 in the carry on, so then you would have 3 changes of clothes if the
