I'll admit that I haven't been playing the game recently after deciding that it... wasn't yet worth my valuable time, but but kudos to you for continuing improvement! Hope to see 1.1 soon, but of course not until some improvements.

Did you make sure that you have at least a gig of virtual memory? Adjusting this setting cleared up the crashing problem for me.
