I dont got that problem cause i always got better ships than the ai and always in fleets. The ai just got alot more -.- But i got to agree. there is too much luck when such powerful ships come into play. Rolling for each component would be the bst solution i think.

Sry, forgot to make a save. maybe next time if i run into it. And for the capture planet bug: i got something similiar again. but this time i invaded a homeworld. though there is only the normal first colony building shown after the invasion, the planet itself still got the 10mt/w food from the capitalinstead of the normal 5mt/w. there is no other farm on the planet and there is no farm that could produce exactly 5 mt/w at all. AND for my drivers: they are up to date. t

Well, i already wrote this once but the thread seemed to be lost somehow. so again: One time i captuered a planet it got a civilisation capital (like my homeword got) instead of a normal starting colony. it wasnt a captial of any race and not a homeworld. But i dont know if it was there b4 i got the planet. Large ships take up 6 logistic instead of 5 like tooltips and manuel says. Or was this changed in any earlier patch? In the govourner screen where you can change th

I got a similiar problem. I always played only medium map since 1.1 and didnt notice any slow down till 1.3 beta 2 (not beta 1). From the start, the game runs alot of slower than b4 now. Especially the tech window is just a pain now. while in beta 1 it still ran smoothly, its a dia show with beta 2.

In later game stages the AI (and maybe the player too) often got more then one Fleet/ship on one aquare. The Problem: the game is displaying ALL ships and fleet at the SAME time. this not only looks odd, it also makes my game slowing down when viewing the galactic map (thanks to my crapy FX5200) or zooming out with alot of ships nearby. If the game would only show one ship/fleet per square, it would look much better and wont slow my comp so much down cause it didnt need to display so many ships.

I would like to know if it would be possible to make a single mod in different languages and put the files in subfolders "English", "German", ect.. so that the game would use the files dependend on the users settings (like in the normal data folder of gc2) instead of making one mod for each language.

1) It wouldn't need to cost twice as much, not even close to that. Fixing the last major bugs won't double the development time. But you wanted a completely bug free game. Everything less is just a question if the producer think that it is bug free enough to be released and if it would be economic to delay the release anymore. And in my example

Speaking of which, why the heck are they even called bugs? Why not axes? Because they make the game so choppy!!!111 Lololololol Because early computer were also mechanical and real bugs made them to malfunction. Since then every malfunction was called a bug.

Prozessors are often named the way with ghz to be compared with other prozessors. the number in the name may not be the real one as the frequency does not affect the speed alone. but it may be scaled for many reasons.

well i had one planet, it had 16 tiles, and also a 100% farm and a 300% farm, i only built on the 100, it was mainly a manufacturing planet, with manufacturing plants takign up about 8 tiles, 1 starport, 1 farm, harmony crystals, the highest form of entertainment center, had about 3 of them and spices and they were still only at 60 happiness...

Complex games that are bug-free simple aren't doable with a reasonable budget, I guess. If games costed double or more, people would complain as well (and even more so, maybe). It's a bit sad, but that's what "Realgaming" looks like. AND it would take the double time to develop. that just wont pay off. or stardock could have made multiplayer. (

if you build a farm on a +100% farming tile you will need about 3 morale buildings to keep them as happy as a 5 bil planet without any (or a planet with a normal farm with one) such buildings. you know, entertainment complex ect...just my experience. and i dont even bother using a +200% (wasnt it 300?) farming tile to farm, that would use up too many tiles to make them happy as the morale buildings even decrease in efficiency the more ppl you got on a planet.

its probably hardcoded that all bonuses get positive when your party is ruling in the senat. though this would be a bug, noone at stardock thought about negative bonuses with parties ect... but you may as well give every other party a bonus to diplomacy except the war party, if this works. but this may cause balancng issues when a party fails at a election. (they will loose that bonus AND get another negative one)

Changing the regional setting to english fixed the bugs (and even the crah i had with full fleetbattles) but all my self made ships lost the jewerly or got crippled. (like the predefined did with german setting) also the explosions only show when destroying freighter or single ships or maybe just randomly. (not like i said b4) here is the debug.err with german setting and some non full fleet - battles: Debug Message: Version v1.3 beta 1 last updated on: Thu Jul 2

(german version) In full fleetbattles, the ships behave strange and just fly on a certain circle around the middle of the battle viewer. In galaxy view, fleets are only shown as one ship cause the three ships which are usually shown for a fleets all float at the same point within the square the fleet is. Without full fleetbattles, the game does not show the loosing fleet exploding for battles without trooptranpsorters and only when attacking planets, weapon fire effects are

You could just try avoiding building too small ships or too many small components with high Minaturization. they are most affected by rounding errors. the reason why components scale with the size its because they got a certain fixed size and a scaled size which add together to the total size. the only reason for this are balancing issues. (i.e. engines for larger hull need more space, for a reason)
