This game sounds like a fresh, extremely interesting concept. I am a socio-historian and avid gamer and my girl friend a sociologsit, so you can see why it is so intriguing. So, how can I help? Did anyone ever play Birth of the Federation? It was a turn based Star Trek game that came out many, many years ago. I really liked how they implimented tactical space combat. It was all number based, but also had several attack and defense options. Depending on which you selected vs what the other person selected determined your effictiveness. I've experienced this same problem with the Beta. I played for a few years on bright difficulity. I set up a really good defense and then explored outward. I noticed then that some key planets were not colonized. The AI will still trade with me / give me gifts. But each civ only has two planets in their own system. (Not even colonizing class 10 planets in their own system!) Something is definetely wrong. It reminds me of a bug in Europa Univ
