My wife and I are both on wired connections behind the same router, both using Vista 64, with Comodo firewall (set to treat Demigod as a trusted app) with windows firewall disabled. Neither of us has hamachi, necond NICs, or any VPN or psuedoadpter installed as far as I can tell. Have tried disabling Comodo. Neither of us can connect to each other when we try to host LAN games (the person looking to join never sees the hosts lobby listed in the LAN game browser). We try after every patch and

TIA to however steps in for frogboy, I'm hoping for more demigod bugfix and content updates, and I'll still recommend the game to friends.
I remembered we already tried disabling the firewall though, on both our machines at the same time.
I feel like internet play wouldn't work if Comodo was interefering though.

It sounds like you're talking about netbios and windows share stuff. I have multiple shares my wife uses on my machine, some are even mapped as network drives. We can defintely access each other's windows shares and ping and stuff. Results are the same whether comodo is on or off, although it is already treating Demigod as a trusted app.

We both have ethernet adapter and a bunch of tunnel adapter things which are apparently part of Vista's IPV6 implementation.
What? We have standard 192.168.x.x addresses from DHCP by the router. I don't know what you mean by "allow" computer 1 to be able to see computer 2". If you mean netbios names and windows shares, that works already but I doubt that functionality would be indicitive of Demigod's.

$5 for groups of 4 (one of each type), maybe for Light/Dark pairs with maps.

This is why I never buy top end. My wife's 7600GT runs this, and cost a lot less than an X800. Every time a PS 3.0 game comes out (for how many years now? Haven't you guys gotten tired of whining on game forums yet?), everyone with a pre X1000 ATI card complains, but PS 3.0 doesn't go away. Buy midrange, and if you can't afford it, buy a good low end. If you can't get that, why are you spending your time playing videogames when you should taking classes at the local CC or something to get a b
My wife and I each have a copy with our own cd key, and we can play together by having one of us host a custom internet game, but if one of us tries to host a LAN game, the other cannot see it in the server list. We're both using Vista 64, we're both using Comodo, have Defense+ disabled, and the firewall portion has Demigod registered as a trusted application, and we have windows firewall disabled. Any suggestions?
In sins you can see all ships in a gravity well so long as you've got one there yourself (no local FoW), so those sorts of tactics aren't so useful.
Okay, haven't even played the beta yet, so I just assumed that SoaSE had FoW like any other game with RTS components. Then again people can be unpredictable, so we may see uses that haven't been thought of yet after the game goes retail and into the larger public's hands
I don't understand why people need to move in Z axis. Perhaps K3ph42 can explain this to me? As far as I can tell most guns have such turret coverage you can't go above or below the field of fire.
Not having played SoaSE, I can't predict whether the same tactics will be useful, but in HW, it was useful if you needed to hide ships from your opponent, sneak up on them, or if you were the type to try turtling in that game, you coul
Will space be fully 3D Homeworld style (ie. being able to move on X,Y, and Z planes) or will ships move on a 2D plane with no visible 'ground', like in Star Trek Armada or Genesis Rising?
Nevermind, rebooting fixed the problem. I don't understand, but it seems to be solved.

What if an AI update caused the AI to start using strategies such as noticing players who bought all their tech and then only selling you techs that were very old, or hosing you by not selling anymore at all?
Just got the game yesterday off newegg. My opinions: I did originally buy this game with the intention of playing multiplayer. Without that option, I am enjoying taking my time to learn the game and what I can do inside the randomly generated universes it presents me. I may or may not learn the AI strategies right away. Either way, I'll enjoy the game for what it is. I would personally pay up to about $30 for an expansion that included: campaigns, mor
