i usually build at least two factories on all colonized planets. i will sometimes destroy one to add a more useful improvement. i watch my approval and growth very close. i will build entertainment early to maximize taxes. i try to stay at 100% approval early in the game. i am finding that population is the number one biggest indicator of a strong economy. the farm comes when i am nearing the food limit. remember to look at eac

i thought about this too, but looking closer this would probably hinder your game. except on abundantly habitable planets you can't wait with citizens in colonizers to find the best planets. example: you check the class 11 planet find no bonuses, move to the next planet still no bonuses, move to the class 6 and find one small research bonus. so colonize it while the AI gets the class 11. this scanning device would also take valuable room on a ship. the colonizing p

thanks. i downloaded a trial copy of photoshop. what an overwhelming product. i can't believe i have been doing personal graphics with mspaint. i like the simplicity of paint, but i think i will be buying photoshop elements, as i have been wanting a photo tool anyway. i have made a very basic logo and it looked fine in game.

i'm just curious. where do you guys draw the logos. i use MSpaint and can never get a transparent background. i tried a converter program to use printshop images and they have a transparent background, but it is not an easy to use drawing program. any help, thanks.

which program do you use to draw your logos? i found the logo files and tried to change one using MSpaint. i saved it with a new name. when i look at it in the game though the background is no longer transparent. on the main game screen it is a small black square. the image is there, but so is the background. when i cut out the background and save it looking white then this is also what i get. my logo inside a white box.

a couple things. ship turns white when i go to upgrade. it returns to normal when i exit that screen, could be my computer is a bit old. when i am on the colony screen and i select a bonus tile i can no longer scroll the text in the box below. only after latest patch. there also seems to be an issue with the game recalling things from previous games. i saw someone report about this regarding a seperate issue; i noti

i agree with bonscott. my first upgrade i was thinking that exact thing. i would like it if on upgrade i could just swap what i want instead of rebuilding. i also think it would be helpful to have a more user friendly approach to saving and sorting ship designs. it just seems unpolished to have ships coming back with parts all mixed up because the core hull is different. an option to load ships at the start or in game would be helpful. either ind

a screen that allowed me to adjust my economy, and also see how this effects each individual colony. in the civ manager i can see all my colonies and know what they are doing. it would be helpful to adjust my economy at the same time. for example. at times i'm sure giving military just a few more % could get a ship out one turn quicker in one colony without effecting the production of others. without seeing all my colonies at once while i adju
