you select the folder, go back to the main menu, and it will prompt you to restart the game. Gav

So in other words, you didn't do what you were told the first time. Gav
A number of times I believe..... Gav
I'm with the Star Control crowd, besides, a creative person could easily make more hulls based on the same style of each race, Arilou ships would all be a different type of saucer, etc. I think that would work very well. Oh yeh and I want it, didn't I mention that? haha ha Gav
Maybe it's a tax for getting your people to work harder while you work less Gav
I wonder could we get the number of minor races to be selectable, like with planets and stars, say ocassional, abundant etc. Gav
I want Hetaks, and Anubises mothership with the superweapon!
It isn't a question of need, not for me anyway. But if I can get something that looks better, then I take it! Gav
I ran into that bug, only happened to me when my ships were autopiloting to the upgrading ships, and when they didn't attack I was able to manually move them to attack, boom! Gav
I agree with the above posts, the number of minor races each game is a tad on the low side, I play on a medium size galaxy these days and I get either none, or 1. Needs to be user selectable in my opinion. Gav
Doom 1/2 for PC Xcom:UFO for PC Street fighter 2 turbo for SNES lot of others. Those are the 3 I could pull out of my head. Gav
Reading all the random events I would choose good or neutral every time. Because you can't really run an empire and be killing your own kind with radiation and all that shit, they'd just rebel. But game wise I like evil. Money is one of my problems although I'm starting to get the hang of it now, you need good populations to get decent tax. And the short trade routes are a waste. I love the way the research robot changes depending on y
With those kind of planets you should be able to muster a big enough war machine to take out anyone. Gav
Check out this planet I found, I think it was class 26, but then I found a precursor device that brought it up to 31! Right at the start of the game too. http://gavinjcd.jemirojim.org/Galciv-planet.jpg Gav
In my last game the Altarians found a precursor starship and used it against me. Was pretty much unstoppable. Had to buy peace. Gav
Yeh I've run into that problem. I don't think the technology browser displays all the tech requirements. Gav
Yeh when your ships are in fleets you don't get as many options, or even if they are stacked. Hopefully that will be fixed in the next update. Gav
I've noticed the same kind of thing. Ships you design in another game remain available to you in the future. But twice now I've noticed that they don't all come up when they should. Gav
Yeh I was at war with the Altarians and the Torians, and was winning. I had located the Iconian stronghold but before I could attack, Earth was attacked by the Altarians who had brought their Precursor warship into service. Forgot they had that, so I gave them both lots of technology for peace. Just watch out, just because you think you are winning doesn't mean the enemy doesn't have an ace up it's sleeve. Gav
