If all ships are in one fleet, I would expect that the only ship with phase gate jumps last. If I have to micro-manage this kind of interactions, I would be very disappointed.

I have captured an ancient starbase and then the starbase alternated between myself and an allied AI player as we both had capital ships near the ancient starbase.
If you have a command ship with phase gate, as soon as this command ships jumps. The rest of the fleet can no longer use the phase gate and is left behind to find a different path home.
Everything that applies to the standard stats is directly upgraded (damage, armor,...) For capital/titan/starbase/planet items you have to build them
After playing the beta and now some games, I am really a little bit disappointed how this shaped up at release. Just my thoughts: 1) Early game in Sins 1 was more entertaining and challenging as pirates were active. I am missing this. In all my games the AI was also quite passive, even so I am primarily focussing still on building capital ships and playing first more defensively till I reach critical mass. E.g. new option could be small restistance break-outs from time to time
Planetary shields protect you currently against the novalith cannon. But I also would like to see, that damage is a little bit more differentiated and does not call all planets directly, e.g. just destroying x planet levels, advancements... Or allowing for more sophisticated defenses, like a fleet or orbital defenses that can shoot it down (if they have enough fire power).
Similar questions to the two above: - Will there be a way to migrate from Epic to Steam? And if yes how? - Will there be an option to upgrade to the premium edition? I would find it personally very frustrating, if both question would have a no as an answer. Early "backers" accepted Epic to support the game development and would than be in a worse position compared to people only now buying the game.
