Newly formed anomalies would be a great addition to the game. As it stands, finding anomalies feels a bit less like exploration and discovery and a little more like rushing around the galaxy as quickly as possible, collecting them before opponents do. If the galaxy began with a few rare anomalies and then new ones cropped up later, it would encourage keeping survey ships around in the mid and late game, and make it feel more like actual exploration and underline the weirdness and coolness of t

Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted already, I took a quick look around but didn't find any reference to this issue (maybe it's just me) Anyways, with the new patch, whenever I pick a building to construct on any planet, its estimated time of completion before construction begins is always "never." Once construction begins, it gives a numerical estimate but it tends to be several times higher than the actual time required. It'll tell me a newly zoned factory will take 25 or 40 t

Okay, so if your food production is limited, will the population cease to grow past the point of sustenance, or will it grow larger and unhappier? I'm just visualizing problems with old worlds whose populations continue to unendingly grow past the point of controlling morale. (And if you start running out of tiles for new construction.) I guess you could start sending them off on colony ships if overcrowding becomes an issue (you can specify the population aboard, right?) Basically

Hey guys, I'm new here but I've lurked for a while now. I had a quick question about some info I found in the PDF manual posted recently... it says that population increases per planet at a constant rate of 200,000 civilians per turn. Was it the same way in the original game (a linear growth rate.)? It seems a little strange to me that a fresh colony with a million people will produce the same number of new colonists per turn that an eighty-million person core world would. Maybe I misread wh
