Steam is a software to download valve games. If you install iconpackager all of the games that you have downloaded doesn´t run. If i buy iconpackager i´ll have iprepair feature?

Hi, I have downloaded iconpackager 3.1 (shareware to try it) and i still have the same problem with steam. If i install iconpackager steam doesn´t run any game. There are many people with this problem. Anyone knows a fix? I am thinking on buying this software but only when this bug have been solved. Sorry for writing the post again but i have seen tha i wrote it outside iconpakager
