Thanks for the hint, but it did not work. I even tried to download a bat to exe compiler, that did not work either. I am guessing that the app is starting in the background, and since the batch file has finished, the indicator goes away.

When I add a shortcut to the dock that runs a batch file, the running indicator is not shown below my shortcut. Is there some arguments I need for this?

Skype icon keeps reverting in ObjectDock Stardock Forums

Why is it that when I change the Skype (4.2) icon, next time I start ObjectDock (2.0) it reverts back to the original icon?

Yup, RocketDock does what I want to do in ObjectDock. One other option would be to hold down the control key to move the icons around inside of the dock without being able to delete them, by accidentally dragging it outside of the dock.

I really love using ObjectDock, but I wish there was an option where I could move the icons around without being able to remove them from the dock, or at least prompting me whether I wanted to delete it.

I really love ObjectDock, but one feature that RocketDock has that I would love to see in ObjectDock is that if the "Lock Dragging" flag is on, to allow you to drag items in the dock when the control key is down, but not allow them to be drug out of the dock to delete them. Either that or add a flag that would prompt the user before deleteing an item that was drug out of the dock.
